‘DEXTER’ final season: ‘The Shield's Kenny Johnson joins as…

Just when you thought ‘Dexter‘s final season had given all it could, one more fan-favorite actor brings some new blood! In advance of ‘Dexter’ season 8′s June 30 debut, we’ve learned that ‘The Shield’ star and occasional ‘Sons of Anarchy‘ guest Kenny Johnson will join the series in a recurring arc, but will he lay down the law on Dexter Morgan? Find out Kenny Johnson’s ‘Dexter’ season 8 role inside!

‘Dexter’ fans are still reeling from the news that the new season starting June 30 would prove to be the last for Showtime’s beloved serial killer, but the final year will no doubt prove to be the best yet. To that end, TVLine reveals that former ‘The Shield’ and ‘Sons of Anarchy’ star Kenny Johnson will join the new season in a multi-episode arc as U.S. Marshall Cooper, a formidable no-nonsense lawman hired by private investigator Jacob Elway (‘The Boondock Saints’ star Sean Patrick Flanery) to hunt down an infamous criminal.

In addition to Johnson and Flanery, ‘Dexter’ season 8 will feature appearances from returning Yvonne Strahovski‘s Hannah McKay, ‘24‘ villain Julian Sands as a wealthy international businessman, ‘One Tree Hill’s’ Bethany Joy Lenz as Dexter’s new neighbor Cassie, ‘Last Resort‘ star Darri Ingolfsson as her antique-dealing love interest, ‘Entourage‘s’ Rhys Coiro as a bail jumper on Deb’s radar, ‘The Walking Dead‘ star Nick Gomez as a hitman that goes up against Deb, and Charlotte Rampling as criminal profiling neuro-psychiatrist Dr. Evelyn Vogel.
