Trailer For Sundance Favorite ‘Fruitvale Station’ With Michael B. Jordan

While there are a handful of films I adored at Sundance Film Festival this year (namely Before Midnight, Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, The Spectacular Now and Upstream Color), no film seemed to connect more with audiences than Fruitvale Station. The directorial debut of Ryan Coogler picked up the top honors, including Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award, and now we’ve got the first trailer today.

Led by Michael B. Jordan, we called it “a telling and touching movie, serving as a pertinent social and cultural reminder not to forget the life and times of Oscar Grant,” a man who was gunned down by a police officer on New Year’s Day 2009 in Oakland. Check out the debut trailer, which effectively sells the tension-filled climax and the events leading up to it.
