X-Men Days Of Future Past in 3D !

Director Bryan Singer has tweeted a picture from the set of "X-Men: Days of Future Past," which is currently shooting in Canada. The set-up is, as singer says, more reminiscent of mission control than a film set thanks to the film being shot in both 3D and Simul-Cam.

Simul-Cam technology has been employed in films like "Avatar," "Real Steel" and "Jack the Giant Slayer" to effortlessly blend CGI and live action footage. You can check out the full picture and tweet below.

So what could they be shooting right now that would require Simul-Cam? Peter Dinklage shot down rumors that he's playing a CGI character, so that's not an option. Judging by the actors that have been photographed on set and their futuristic/post-apocalyptic wardrobe, I'd bet that Singer is currently directing an epic fight between the future X-Men and giant Sentinel robots. The iconic robots have already been revealed as playing a part in the sequel. They're also the main foes faced by the future X-Men in the comic book source material. We can't say this with any certainty, but that's our best guess.

20th Century Fox has reportedly filmed an extra scene for The Wolverine featuring a cameo from the previous X-Men films.

Sir Patrick Stewart has been rumored by JoBlo to appear as Professor Charles Xavier in what may be a post-credits scene.
