While there is still no music video yet for Lana Del Rey's “Young & Beautiful,” the indie pop singer performed the cinematic ballad for the first time on Tuesday evening. During one of her sold out shows in Europe, she decided to give fans in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg, a special performance of “The Great Gatsby” lead single.
Del Rey premiered the studio and orchestral versions of “Young & Beautiful” on April 23. A music video was suppose to coincide with the single release, but appears to have been pushed back. While fan-made clips are popping up on the Internet, the singer gave fans another type of visual to accompany the song for the meanwhile: a live performance.
Her fans in Luxembourg were treated to Del Rey's first live performance of “Young & Beautiful.” In a white dress with her hair done up like a beauty queen, she sings the “Gatsby” single with ease and vulnerability. The audience's cameras flew up to record her captivating performance. It was a simple and beautiful rendition of such big production song.
“Young & Beautiful” is currently for sale on iTunes with the full “Gatsby” soundtrack to be released on May 7. Three days later, the Baz Luhrmann film itself will hit theaters.
