People Morrissey Hates

Jimmy Kimmel isn't the only famous person drawing ire from Morrissey. At his Staples Center performance, the former Smiths frontman introduced his song "Meat Is Murder" with a dig at pop superstar Beyoncé Knowles, pinning the blame for rhinoceros extinction squarely on her.

"I'm sad to hear that the rhino is more or less now extinct, and it's not due to global warming or shrinking habitats," the singer opined. "It's because of Beyoncé's handbags. So, God bless the rhinos."

Knowles probably won't take Moz's words too seriously, considering how many other celebrities have landed in his crosshairs over the years. Here, a sampling:

The Duck Dynasty cast

Morrissey pulled out of an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live after learning he'd share space with the men of Duck Dynasty, stating, "as far as my reputation is concerned I can’t take the risk of being on a show alongside people who, in effect, amount to animal serial killers."

Jimmy Kimmel

After Kimmel joked that Morrissey was "finding new ways to depress [people], Moz shot back, "I was disappointed with last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Show wherein our smiling host managed to ridicule depression (70% of Americans have experienced depression according to the National Institute of Mental Health). He then found time to ridicule healthy eating (the obesity epidemic in the U.S. costs $147 billion per year in medical expenditure), and he also ridiculed the notion that animals should be entitled to the possession of their own lives."

Paul McCartney

02 paul

Morrissey refers to McCartney as "Paul McCartload," as he thinks the former Beatle is too friendly with the fur-loving British royal family. "If he cared passionately about animals, he'd return his knighthood," Moz told The Hollywood Reporter.

Kate Middleton

When a UK nurse took her own life after falling for a silly radio prank shortly after the Duchess of Cambridge announced her pregnancy, Morrissey blamed Kate Middleton — publicly. He told New Zealand's 3 News that Middleton was in the hospital "for no reason," adding, "she feels no shame about the death of this woman. She's saying nothing about the death of this poor woman. The arrogance of the British royals is absolutely staggering."  He also suggested she was in the hospital to be treated for anorexia.

John Cho

Harold and Kumar's Cho told Vulture that he was starstruck upon meeting Morrissey in a Los Angeles dive bar, but was startled when the singer was a complete jerk to him.

Relive it:

Elton John

In a 2002 radio interview, Morrissey said of Elton, "He's pushing his face in all the time, and telling us about his private life. Nobody's interested, he's incredibly rich, he should just stop hoisting his problems onto everybody and working them out publicly."

Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston

In a 1986 interview with Melody Maker, Morrissey made the most sweeping of sweeping dismissals with, "[Ultimately,] I don't have very cast iron opinions on black music other than black modern music which I detest. I detest Stevie Wonder. I think Diana Ross is awful. I hate all those records in the Top 40 - Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston. I think they're vile in the extreme. In essence this music doesn't say anything whatsoever." [time to air-drop this bitch into the middle of Compton imo]

Michael Bublé

Morrissey doesn't dig Bublé's covers: "The fire in the belly is essential, otherwise you become Michael Bublé, famous and meaningless."

Lady Gaga

Asked his opinion of Lady Gaga, Morrissey opined, "I like the idea of women who are in full control, but I am tired of seeing singers who cannot deliver a song without the aid of 750 frenzied dancers assuming the erotic. It is actually fraudulent, and the exact opposite of erotic."

"Edith Piaf was seven inches high, always wore a modest black dress, and sang without stage sets or lights, and her voice roared above the wind, with the most incredible powers of communication. I'd like to see McDonna attempt that."

Posh and Becks

In a 2013 interview with Loaded, Morrissey sniped, "I'd ... have the Peckhams dragged to the edge of the village and flogged. They are insufferable to anyone of intelligence, and they actively chase the paparazzi."

Did your fave make the cut, ONTD??
