Beyoncé Dropped 60-lb. of Baby Weight with Partially Vegan Diet
Singer Beyonce Knowles lost 57 pounds just six months after giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy in January 2012, and has kept it off by following a partially vegan diet.
"[Beyonce eats] one vegan meal a day because this typically gets people to eat more greens than they normally would," her trainer, Marco Borges, told Life & Style, "If you have to snack, don't sacrifice nutrition."
Instead of grabbing chips or candy, Beyonce snacks on edamame, a green apple, or cucumbers sprinkled with vinegar, cayenne pepper and lemon. When the Grammy winner wants to shed weight fast, she substitutes a protein shake for lunch instead of having a full meal.
Knowles, who wowed fans with her super-fit physique during her Super Bowl half-time performance, wore multiple layers of pantyhose to achieve her sleek look.
"Under the fishnets, she wore four to six pairs of pantyhose to pull her all in," says a source. "She is very aware of her body. She knows what looks right and what doesn't."
In addition to a healthy, portion-controlled diet, Beyonce also works out almost daily to maintain her sexy bikini body.
"Consistency is the key to success," says her trainer. "I love running sprint intervals for quick cardio sessions and running stairs."

So she eats salad or black bean tacos once a day. Whoop a dee doo. Welcome to what tons of people do without even realizing it!
Which just became all the funnier given we're talking about Beyonce.
Jessica Simpson I can believe but lbr Bey.
But, I'm vegetarian and I try to eat the least amount of dairy possible, and I don't find it very expensive. I know every city is different, and I live in a small Canadian city, we don't have any specialty veg stores, so I shop at the regular grocery store. I eat mostly lentils, chickpeas and quinoa which aren't that expensive if you buy big bags.
I know people always say but vegetables are soo expensive, but personally I'm not eating that many more veggies/fruits now than I was when I did eat meat. You still need the same amount as you did before, and extra if you can afford it. idk idk.
But I remember every time a real vegan post pops up on ONTD and someone mentions going to a vegan wedding, people are OUTRAGED that they are forced to eat according to someone else's diet, and think it's not fair to ask someone to attend your wedding if you aren't going to serve "real food." So despite the rolled eyes expressed in this post, I think there are a fair number of people who think that food isn't a meal without meat.
Growing up I would always get side-eye during lent because for some bizarre reason, being Byzantine Catholic means I have to be vegan on Fridays and do no meat on Wednesdays. IDK man. I don't follow that anymore.
Trying that now. Thanks for the suggestion.
Also, I am not huge on vaganism, but I do think people should par take at least 1 vegetarian meal once a week. :D
I am so tired. I shouldn't be typing/writing.
That sound like an awful lot.
