THE NEW NORMAL POST

'The New Normal': Matt Bomer works out just fine, as Bryan's ex

In Tuesday’s episode of The New Normal, Bryan (Andrew Rannells) and David (Justin Bartha) are contemplating expanding their family, with Goldie’s help of course, but when they see that their single friend Gary (Michael Hitchcock) aspires to what they have, they try to help. White Collar‘s Matt Bomer guest-stars as Bryan’s ex, Monty, a legendary party boy the couple attempts to set up with Gary so that their lonely pal can start on the path to his own family. But don’t ever trust a guy named Monty! He has his own plans for procreation, and they just might include Goldie (Georgia King.)

Clearly he’s let himself go since he dated Bryan!

“The Goldie Rush” episode airs tomorrow night at 9:30 on NBC.

THE GOLDIE RUSH synopsis

WHAT TO EX-PECT WHEN YOU’RE EXPECTING – MATT BOMER (‘WHITE COLLAR’) GUEST STARS – Bryan (Andrew Rannells) and David (Justin Bartha) discuss their future and how big they want to grow their family. The conversation leads them back to Expanding Families where Gary (guest-star Michael Hitchcock) reveals that he wants a family of his own but he can’t seem to find the right guy. Bryan and David play matchmakers and set him up with Bryan’s ex-boyfriend and legendary party boy Monty (guest star Matt Bomer, “White Collar”), but their plan leads to more than they bargained for when Monty asks Goldie (Georgia King) to be his surrogate. Elsewhere, Rocky (NeNe Leakes) and Jane (Ellen Barkin) help Shania (Bebe Wood) deal with some mean girls.

COMCAST/NBC Delays Biggest TV Show to Avoid Repeats

Comcast Corp. (CMCSA)’s NBC will wait until March to bring back three of its most popular programs so that the network can air the new episodes without mixing in repeats.

“Revolution” and “The Voice” return March 25 and “Grimm” restarts on March 8, allowing the series to avoid repeats, NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt said yesterday at a TV critics conference in Pasadena, California.

NBC is the only broadcast television network to increase its audience in the first half of the season that began in September. Those viewership gains, provided by “Sunday Night Football,” “The Voice” and “Revolution,” will be a challenge to continue through the second half of the TV season that starts this week and NBC’s strategy is to provide producers more time to better develop the programs, Greenblatt said.
