CABIN PRESSURE: Cumberbatch Reprises Captain Crieff!
Benedict Cumberbatch Not To Big For Radio 4 Sitcom

Sherlock star reprises his role as clueless captain in Cabin Pressure
Cumberbatch will be returning to Radio 4 to star in the sitcom Cabin Pressure.
The sitcom is in its fourth series and stars Corrie’s Stephanie Cole and The Thick Of It’s Roger Allam.
Based on a tiny airline, the comedy has seen that team flying squaddies to Hamburg, metal sheets to Mozambique, and an oil exec’s cat to Abu Dhabi, all involving pitfalls and huge mistakes that have threatened the existence of the minuscule airline.
Cumberbatch plays hapless Captain Martin Crieff which, according to the Cabin Pressure webpage “has wanted to be an airline pilot since he was six, and before that he wanted to be an aeroplane.”
The critically-acclaimed show will be recorded in London next month.

Any Cabin Pressure fans here? Frankly, as far as Benedict is concerned, I think Cabin Pressure is my favourite series he's worked on. John Finnemore is basically a genius.

The otters that aren't allowed in the flight deck.
or like a trigger warning or something
however, does it annoy anyone else that all people seem to care about is Martin?

no lies detected. I really need to listen to the rest of Souvenir Programme because I listened to the first episode and it was extremely enjoyable.
I think Douglas Richardson is the best, to be honest. He's my favourite -- and Arthur is Brilliant.
there's silly, and there's creepy.
yeah, if I had to choose, Douglas would be my favourite. however, I think I love the MJN Air family together the most.
i mean do love martin as well but it is all about arthur for me
Safety Catch is really good as well. If you wanted recommendations.
I love series 1 & 2. This is a great show. Benny is lovely on it!
WORD.
Literally everything he does threatens my life, because I'm too busy laughing to breathe.
And, honestly, as much as I like Benedict, in that room he is the least important person to me.
Benedict is good...but on the episode where they got someone to stand in for him, it was barely noticeable.
John is amazing, he should have so much more recognition. Part of me hopes they turn his radio shows into tv sitcoms.
Because you keep laughing to yourself out loud and people start to get freaked out and leave you by yourself.
