'Parks and Recreation' plans Indianapolis field trip

The civil servants of fictional Pawnee, Ind., are headed back to Indianapolis.

According to NBC, cast and production crew of NBC sitcom "Parks and Recreation" will be in Indianapolis during the first week of December to film at various locations.

In 2010, the show shot an episode at the Indiana Statehouse. "Parks and Recreation," which stars Amy Poehler as a mid-level bureaucrat, airs at 9:30 p.m. Thursdays on WTHR-13.

The specific roster of "Parks and Recreation" players that will visit in December is unclear, but several characters may have a mission in the Circle City:

>> Andy Dwyer (portrayed by Chris Pratt) could look up NFL wide receiver Reggie Wayne, as Andy wore a Wayne jersey at his wedding.

>> Tom Haverford (portrayed by Aziz Ansari) could reconnect with NBA center Roy Hibbert, who did some moonlighting for Haverford's media conglomerate Entertainment 720.

>> Chris Traeger (portrayed by Rob Lowe) could visit the chic apartment where he lived when he worked for the Indiana state government.

>> Ron Swanson (portrayed by Nick Offerman) could visit the former site of his favorite restaurant, Charles Mulligan's Steak House.
