FAT-busting British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has bristled at suggestions he is carrying extra weight and should follow his own advice and shed some kilos.
Oliver, who admitted he was not thinking straight yesterday after "a few drinks" the night before, used colourful language when asked if he was heavier than when last Down Under.
"I don't know. I am very healthy. I think the last time I had a filling in my teeth, which was quite recently, I was in good nick. But really, I am not really sure," Oliver said. "Are you from a tabloid? Thank you for noticing, you bitch," he quipped.
The noted foodie, who was at Myer yesterday signing frying pans and cookbooks, caught up with mates at Cumulus Inc in Flinders Lane on Tuesday evening.
"I went out last night and had a few drinks after a very long day, (and) my brain did not quite understand that question," Oliver said to Myer MC Nicky Buckley.
Oliver, 36, was more forthcoming when asked on Tuesday, admitting he could "do better".
"I do my best . . . working in the food business is quite hard when someone is constantly asking you to try things," he said. "I eat fresh, I train twice a week. I could definitely do better, but I am trying to do my best like most people when they hit 30."
