Khloe Kardashian Odom lives the glam life on her show, Khloe and Lamar and the reality star is sharing the glam for a good cause. For the second time, she partnered with U by Kotex to launch a fleet of fabulous cars that will take New Yorkers to and from the happenings during Fashion Week earlier this month. It wasn’t all about living large — each ride helped U by Kotex donate up to $100,000 to Girls for a Change, a national non-profit group that empowers girls to create and lead social change in their communities.
GLOSS: As a busy woman with a hectic career how do you juggle it all – your work, your causes, friends and more? What’s your secret to finding balance?
KKO: For me finding a good balance is about making certain things a priority. I’ve set boundaries for myself. I make my husband my number one priority. I am home for all of his home games and if he’s on the road that’s when I travel. I have the luxury of having my work accommodate my schedule by rotating visiting DASH stores or design meetings. We plan them according to what works best for me. But I think everyone needs to set boundaries because no one is going to give you them. So I make people know that’s my number one priority.
GLOSS: What was the best advice you have ever received from another friend?
KKO: Always stay true to who you are. You’ll never be able to make everyone happy so as long as you’re happy and your family is happy, that’s all that really matters.
GLOSS: What gadget can’t you live without?
KKO: My cellphone, my Blackberry.
GLOSS: What’s your guilty pleasure?
KKO: I love to watch House Hunters and any shows about home decorating.
GLOSS: Name one of your favorite beauty product must haves?
KKO: I love Moroccan oil.
GLOSS: What’s the first thing you do each morning?
KKO: Either I kiss my hubby first thing but if he’s not with me, brush my teeth. Even if I just wake up to go to the bathroom I have to brush my teeth.
GLOSS: Aside from your wallet and keys what’s always in your purse?
KKO: Excedrin Migraine
GLOSS: What is your favorite movie?
KKO: My fave movie right now is The Devil’s Double. I love true stories and movies that I can learn something from.
GLOSS: In addition to your new radio show what else is keeping you busy these days?
KKO: I’m filming Khloe and Lamar Season 2 and I am in NY right now to help promote U by Kotex and their work with Girls For A Change, an organization dedicated to empowering young women to stand up and make changes in their communities and within themselves. We’re hoping to raise $100,000 for the organization with taxis we had going around NYC for Fashion Week. U by Kotex also partnered with Patricia Field and produced a pop-up fashion on the streets of NYC.source
