This afternoon in southern Denmark H.R.H. Prince Joachim and his sons, Prince Nikolai and Prince Felix, enjoyed a day of fun at Hjemsted Oldtidspark (a pre-historic park and archeological site.)

According to the Danish newspaper, JV.dk, the royal trio were:

…greeted with flags waving. Before they had lunch, the princes tried archery and jumping over water with a jump stick. Then lunch was served in the prehistoric park restaurant, Wadden Sea, where the menu is made from local products.

In the afternoon they sailed in dugout canoes, watched demonstrations of catapults and slaughter of lambs in ancient style.
ugh

Yikes.

Prince Felix and Prince Nikolai

On August 1, 2011, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and his nephew, Andrea Casiraghi, attended a football match at the Stade Louis II in Monaco. The prince and Mr. Casiraghi cheered on their favorite team and generally seemed to have a good time together.

In other Monaco related news, the French newspaper, L’Express, received their subpoena this afternoon regarding that little old lawsuit against the paper.

If you don’t know by now the paper is being sued by Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene for “spreading false rumors” and “invasion of privacy” days before the lavish princely nuptials in Monaco. The managing editor of L’Express, Christophe Barbier, stands by the story he ran in his newspaper regarding the alleged unstable relationship between the prince and princess, “…recoupé l’information de trois sources différentes qui sont toutes les trois fables.” Basically, he noted that his sources, all three of them, are reliable… etc, etc.
