Kim Kardashian’s ‘Perfect’ 20.5 Carat Diamond Engagement Ring!
Kim Kardashian had long dreamed of the perfect man—and the perfect ring. “In high school I went to Macy’s and bought this fake ring, my ‘perfect’ ring, and this is almost the exact same,” she says, staring down at the 20-plus-carat gem Humphries designed with jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, a longtime Kardashian friend who has not only decked Kim in her gorgeous jewels for events like the Emmy Awards but has also created engagement rings for stars like Beyoncé.
Wanting something distinctly her own (“Khloé’s is a radiant cut,” she says of her sister’s ring), the reality star loves the classic design. Humphries had simpler requirements: “I just knew I wanted it to be big!” And he got more than big, as Kim gushed, “It’s the most beautiful thing I have ever seen,” says Kardashian of the ring. “It’s perfect.”
The 16.5-carat emerald cut center stone is flanked by a pair of 2-carat trapezoids, for a total weight of 20.5 carats! Humphries even managed to work out the design without Kim knowing. Kardashian explains, “[Lorraine] always listened to what I would want and the shapes I love. I had said I loved an emerald cut and they were scheming and plotting for a while.” Humphries confided his plans in his parents, but felt confident in his decision. “I knew she’d love it–she better!”

Especially with such an ostentatiously big diamond too.
Now I don't even notice my rings not matter how big they are
I find diamond rings boring though
I cherish my collection of costume jewelry
What gem do you like best?
Unfortunately, it's a bit much for every day wear.
Whatevs. She probably bought it herself, this Kris guy is super ugly, and it weirds me out that she is with someone with the same name as her mom.
my center diamond is a little under a carat, but the mini-diamonds circling it and the ones on the band are .36 carats, so i consider my ring to be 1.25 carats...which IMHO is much prettier than kim's gigantous one that looks like it'll be on QVC any day now.
I love it because of what it represents (I didn't get a wedding band - this serves as both) but in all honesty I wanted something really plain and without gemstones.
Mind you, I've never been in a long-term relationship so the thought of getting engaged and married is completely alien to me!
and to make it worse, it's a hideous blood diamond.
it's ugly as fuck
i don't think i want a diamond. i MIGHT want one if i can GUARANTEE it's not a blood diamond. the diamond market is dumb though. they have such a falsely inflated value. the only thing i really like about them is the fact that it's the hardest stone, and i'm into sciency stuff like that because i'm a nerd.
i think i want a ruby, and with marcasite. which i can never spell right. i want something victorian looking.
or an emerald since that's my birth stone
i love the vintage look, this is amazing
beyonce has my fave ring of all time
if you wanna talk about big rocks, hers was reportedly $5mil! she has the real one and cheaper imitation to wear out in public apparently hah
tiffany legacy ring with an aquamarine.
/hates diamonds
So, my boyfriend has his moms ring, though his parents are divorced. His dad doesn't want him to give the ring to anyone as he considers it "bad luck." I've never seen it but it is supposedly nice. I told him couldn't he use the diamond and just put it in a new setting and maybe it won't be as bad luck? I don't think it would bother me.
