Perhaps disingegrating faster than any other post-Bachelor union, Travis and Sarah’s relationship is officially over. (Not that the news comes as a surprise.)
Once again, a Bachelor couple has blamed producers and ABC for forcing them to stay apart during the months that pass between the taping and the airing of a finale. Because for new romances, distance and lack of communication is the key to success. Travis even rode his bike away from Sarah one day after spotting her on the street. Way to strengthen your franchise, ABC.
Breaking his awkward, telling silence, Travis told the Tennessean,
“You’re in Paris and you’re part of this incredible experience, this fantasy world, and then suddenly you come back to Nashville, and living in the same city I think we thought was going to be a great thing. But instead, you’re forced to pretend you don’t know someone, for essentially the last four months. The reality is that we were in this fantasy world. And now that we’re back in Nashville, over time when you’re not allowed to see someone, you grow apart.”
Similarly, Sarah told the paper that their relationshiop “would’ve worked out differently” had they not met on a TV show. “We wouldn’t have had all the baggage that comes from being on this show. It would just be the two of us being able to hang out and get to know each other in a normal situation,” she said.
The Tennessean reports that “Sarah and Travis both said they were single and unattached. They also said they had no regrets about doing the show and that they were happy to have met a good friend in each other.”
