When we first read that Mick Jagger and David Bowie were making a film together… well, our minds went somewhere else.
British tabloid The Sun reports that the Rolling Stones frontman and his not at all sexually ambiguous friend have been working on a comedy screenplay for more than fifteen years, chronicling the adventures of two wild and crazy rock ‘n’ roll managers set during the mid sixties.
An (of course) unnamed source says Jagger is currently trying to cast his pet project.
Says he/she (not Bowie):
"Mick has had the script in the bag for years. He has gone back to it again recently and feels now is the time to get it out there… [he] has a few famous comedians in mind to star and is starting to sound them out.”
The source doesn’t rule out that Mick might make a cameo in this untitled new film project, but we can only hope it will, in the end, star Jagger and Bowie themselves doing something along the lines of this:
Now you know why our minds went there.
