YA author Becca Fitzpatrick is expanding into graphic novels. She recently signed a deal with Sea Lion Books to publish her first book, Hush, Hush, as a graphic novel. Hush, Hush #1 will debut later this year.
In a statement Fitzpatrick said:
“Hush, Hush was my first book, and it’s so thrilling that it has been embraced by so many readers. I’m delighted to be working with Sea Lion to tell Patch and Nora’s story through graphic novel format!”
Hush, Hush is the first book in a trilogy about a teenage girl, Nora Grey, and a fallen angel named Patch. The third book, Silence, will be in bookstores on October 4, 2011.
Given the gorgeous book covers for Hush, Hush and Crescendo, I think there are high expectations for the graphic novel. What do you think? Are you excited for a Hush, Hush graphic novel?
Becca joins the ranks of Cassandra Clare, Richelle Mead, Cicily Von Gossip Girl, and Stephenie Meyer in getting their shitty YA books turned into shitty comics (though I kinda like the art for Gossip Girl?)
