Jeremy Renner is spotted on the set of his new action-comedy film Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters in Braunschweig, Germany yesterday (Mar. 31). His co-star Gemma Arterton was also spotted on set – check out her pics in the gallery.
The film has a great premise – it catches up with Hansel (Renner) and Gretel (Arterton) 15 years after the infamous incident at the gingerbread house. The two fairy tale siblings are now witch hunters. So COOL!
Remaking classic fairy tales seems to be the thing to do this year in Hollywood. Gnomeo & Juliet is currently in theaters; Vanessa Hudgens is beginning production soon on Beastly, a modern version of Beauty and the Beast; and two different films are being made based on the classic Snow White: The Brothers Grimm: Snow White starring Julia Roberts and Snow White and the Huntsman starring Kristen Stewart.
