AN aspiring girl band have shunned traditional record labels, by teaming up with London Irish Rugby Club to find a fanbase.
The ground-breaking deal, the first of its kind, will see gorgeous foursome Fanfair perform to thousands of fans before games during the season, before releasing a record later this year.
The band will also perform at promotions for the club, such as unveiling new products, kits and players.
The foursome hope to win over more than 60,000 fans at London Irish’s home ground The Madejski Stadium before the end of the current rugby season.
The stunning singers, Jessica, Roberta, Anara and Aimee, will perform an original track and the club’s anthem 'The Boys Are Back In Town' ahead of each home game.
Singer Jessica Martin said: "This has never been done before, but we think it’s a fantastic idea. Rugby attracts lots of families to games, and hopefully we can add to the experience as well as winning over some new fans."
The band’s manager, Dan Parker, added: "I’m delighted about this groundbreaking partnership with London Irish. This is a totally new way to launch a group, but I’m confident it’s an idea that will prove successful.
"With the club having a global support base it is a wonderful opportunity and one that is mutually beneficial."
And London Irish Chief Executive Andy Martin added: "We hope that our existing supporters will also enjoy the benefit of even better match day entertainment."
