Dancing With the Stars contestant Kirstie Alley reveals the shocking amount of weight she's lost since her second major gain; the first weight gain was the one Jenny Craig fixed through a spokesperson deal. Go under the cut to find out how much she's lost, what more she has to lose to reach her goal, and what her Dancing partner has to say about her dance floor skills.
Kirstie Alley insists she is still losing weight in preparation for her debut on Dancing With The Stars.
Kirstie Alley, the American actress who has been paired with professional partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy on the hit reality dance contest, says she wants to lose a further '30 or 40' pounds before competing on the show, reports Us Magazine. Alley said, "I've lost 60 pounds, and I have 30 or 40 more to go. And I think with this strenuous, rigorous dance schedule, I think it's going to work". Earlier this week, she kept fans updated with her rehearsal progress by posting on her Twitter page, saying, "Getting stronger and stronger every day ... and feeling more and more alive ... this dancing is good for the soul". Her Ukranian partner Maksim posted his own tweet shortly after, saying, "Kirstie is trying really hard to impress me! I must admit.........I'm impressed". The actress, perhaps best known for her role on television show 'Cheers', became the spokesperson for diet company 'Jenny Craig' several years ago. She lost 75 pounds on the weight-loss program but reportedly gained back the weight after she left the company in 2008.
Kirstie Alley will be up against the likes Kendra Wilkinson, Romeo Miller and Sugar Ray Leonard when season 12 of Dancing With The Stars returns on 21st March 2011.
