Gondry’s work on “How Are You Doing” recalls some of past music video work, such as Björk’s “Human Behavior,” as well as some of the innovative trick photography found in his films “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” “The Science of Sleep” and “Be Kind Rewind.”
The triple split screen video is a charming tale about the birth of a baby that features earthquakes, fires, bikers and enough no-budget effects for ten videos. It’s winning, warming and a reminder of how good Gondry can be.
