Chris Brown can officially add an album leak to the things he’s angry about.
The singer’s fourth album F.A.M.E. will be dropping on March 22nd. However, pirates of the internet now have the album in their hands, as the album leaked today (March 8th). Brown has been a media favorite as of lately, considering a nude photo of himself leaked last week (along with pics of a new bleached blonde hairdo) and a few weeks prior to that, more photos leaked from his fight in 2009 with singer/girlfriend at the time Rihanna, which led to a near industry banishment for Brown.
This isn’t the first time Brown’s music has hit the streets early. His album Graffiti leaked in 2009, to which Brown accused the industry of doing as punishment for his violent sins he committed that fateful night of the 51st Grammy Awards.
A public breakdown at that year’s BET Awards outweighed his bowtied apology on his first publicized interview since the incident on "Larry King Live," and Brown inched his way back into the world’s good graces. Now these events are happening.
Fans aren’t upset in the least by the album leaking, more for having the music early than not having to purchase it on March 22nd.
“I really like it. I'm gonna buy it on the 22nd,” @BeyonceLovesMe tweeted after listening to F.A.M.E. “Chris Brown's album is amazing,” another user @SirStrafSalot.
Some folks are questioning the timing of these events in Brown’s life, as photos leak then an album. “It’s funny how Chris Brown died his hair blonde then dat nude pic came out oh and next week his album comin out hmm publicity stunt I see!” @JapaanDoll tweets.
Others think the leak leans out of his favor, as @MACDeLaFlare says, “Chris Brown album leaked? Damn he died his hair and showed us his d**k all for nothing”.
No word yet on Brown’s reaction to the leak, but it will more than likely be a Twitter soapbox speech if he does choose to comment. His last tweet arrived this morning, as Brown said, “I almost have 2 million followers!! Album in stores march 22!! Fingers crossed and a lot of prayer!” Prayers he will need, now that the album is available for free. “I have love hate feelings towards chris brown. I will probably listen and jam to some trax off his new album but I will not buy it, sorry,” a non-buyer @megnstclair stated.
While most fans are rejoicing, even calling today the “best day ever”, some fans feel sorry for Brown.
“I know Chris Brown is tight, n***as leaked his album,” @VivaLaArtwork tweeted. “Give him a break!”
