The folks over at Wizarding Life have come up with a way to distract us from the four month wait in the form of Magic Is Might, a new site posing as a Ministry of Magic newspaper. Magic is Might will chronicle the events that occur at the Ministry over the first half of "Deathly Hallows" leading up to the release of "Part 2," providing an even better "Harry Potter" cheat sheet than "Order of the Phoenix."
The site has been up and running for two days, but already it's overloaded with references that make our "Potter"-loving hearts giddy with excitement. Take a look at some of our favorites after the jump.
"Mudbloods & the Dangers They Pose to a Perfect, Pureblood Society"
The propaganda component of "Deathly Hallows" is something we read about in the book and saw in the movie, but we never got to see the actual Muggle hate ourselves. Fortunately, there's a free PDF download available if you really want to see just how much Dolores Umbridge hates Muggles.
The Other Side of the Café Attack
One of the more action-packed scenes in "Part 1" was the café scene where two Death Eaters attacked Harry, Ron and Hermione at a Muggle coffee shop. Well, here we have a report from the Ministry's perspective, and it turns out Hermione's wipe was very efficient. “It was pretty powerful, that wipe they had," a recovery at St. Mungo's told the site. "Blimey, I had to force-feed [the injured men] for a few hours on account of the 'You’re trying to kill me!' scare they had going on."
Dolores Umbridge's Bio
These words speak for themselves (and I can't try to summarize them without bursting out laughing): "I am the Senior Undersecretary to the Minister for Magic and the head of the Muggle-born Registration Committee. I have also worked as Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor, Hogwarts High Inquisitor, and Headmistress of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I hate children, Muggle-borns, half-breeds and anything that has to do with animals (except for cats). You can reach me at dolores.umbridge@magicismight.co.uk."
crucio dat hoe!
Mods, I know this isn't celebrity news, but it's about the fandom and leading up to the release of the final movie. An interactive fan experience that has been up two days and is already on MTV? Yes please.
