WWE News: Will Diesel (Kevin Nash) Wrestle at WrestleMania 27?
When Kevin Nash returned as Diesel at the Royal Rumble, he received a bigger pop than anyone not named The Rock has over the last year or so.
Then, he seemed to just disappear.
Well, according to f4wonline.com, he could be coming back soon.
The site reports that WWE has dropped plans of a match between The Corre and Nexus at WrestleMania 27, and instead is considering having The Corre face The Big Show with Diesel as Show's tag team partner.
Diesel was reportedly told he would have another match soon, and it could happen at Mania.
I've got mixed feelings on this, so let me explain.
This feud—or whatever you want to call it—between Wade Barrett (and The Corre) and The Big Show hasn't been the least bit entertaining.
But what was actually exciting for the crowd? The staredown between Diesel and Show at the Royal Rumble.
Personally, I think it would make more sense for nostalgic purposes to have The Big Show vs. Diesel in a one-on-one match, which could be the WCW tie-in for this year's WrestleMania event.
Laughs at this Yabba Dabba Bitch getting his ass kicked in Nelson voice "haha"
Not only that, but we all know that a team of Diesel and Big Show would definitely get the win over Barrett, Ezekiel, Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel.
And the only thing that would accomplish is completely killing The Corre's momentum.
WWE News: Triple H's New Movie "The Chaperone" Tanks at the Box Office
Box office numbers for the WWE Studios film "The Chaperone," starring Triple H, are in, and they're not very good.
The movie grossed just $14,400 over its three-day theatrical run last month in 10 theaters.
In other words, no one went and saw the damn movie.
No shocker there.
I understand that WWE relies heavily (and by heavily, I mean like 99.9999999 percent) on DVD sales, but $14,400?
In the words of The Miz, really?
I've got a proposal for WWE: Give me $20,000, a $300 video camera and five actors who can actually act, and I guarantee I could make a better movie.
I mean, I've never seen a studio put together such crappy films on a consistent basis.
Behind Enemy Lines: Colombia, starring Mr. Kennedy? Terrible.
John Cena's 12 Rounds and The Marine? Awful.
Big Show's Knucklehead? I could have produced a funnier movie in two days.
The Chaperone? Haven't seen it, but damn, does it look atrocious.
See No Evil? The best of the bunch, but still nothing to write home about.
WWE has to do some serious reshuffling of WWE Studios if the company wants to make it truly profitable.
It's pretty simple: Hire better actors, writers and directors. Don't rely on cheesy comedy or lame action flicks. And don't stick to PG just-type material just because you think you have to.
Then, maybe you'll actually crack the $100,000 mark with the release of your next film.
WWE WrestleMania 27 Card Predictions Part 3 – Inside The Wheelhouse
Here we are heading into the month of March and the days until WrestleMania 27 are getting closer. It appears that after a month of build up the WrestleMania 27 card is just about set with 4 matches basically being announced for the event.
Cena/The Miz, Del Rio/Edge, Triple H/Undertaker & CM Punk/Orton appear to be all for gone conclusions now. With that being said lets look at the potential rest of the WrestleMania 27 card.
Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole
This match is extremely close to being just as official as the said 4 matches noted above. Lawler vs. Cole reminds me a lot of the Bret Hart/Vince McMahon match from last year in the sense that you don’t expect a lot from this particular match. It’s basically a “heat fest” where the fans just want to see Michael Cole get pummeled.
As a Wrestling fan who is in favor of the WWE’s Youth Movement, I must admit that I was pissed when the WWE didn’t pull the trigger on the Sheamus/Triple H WrestleMania match. To me it makes the most sense and gives Sheamus a necessary spotlight to one day be perceived as a mega star for the company. Despite the WWE not doing that, I am all for this rumored matchup if the trigger is pulled.
Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus could very well be a WrestleMania Main Event in a couple years. I’m not telling you anything you didn’t know when I said Daniel Bryan is an amazing talent and future mega star, having him and Sheamus in a match together will make wrestling fans happy that these two young stars get a spotlight like this. I hope the WWE goes through this match because both competitors have a lot to offer when it comes to the future of World Wrestling Entertainment.
The Corre vs. The Nexus – WWE Tag Team Championship
This has WrestleMania opening or 2nd match written all over it. It’s sad that the both of these groups have lost a ton of heat the last couple of month where they appear to just be stables for guys with no other creative plans. The “beer half full” theory on this is as least they are still competing on WWE programming.
I expect this to be a WWE Tag Team Championship match with The Corre’s Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel (who are an underrated Tag Team mind you) with Ezekiel Jackson in their corner taking on David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty with Mason Ryan in their corner. The dynamics of this prediction is you have the big men on the outside, while the better wrestlers of the stable not named Barrett or Punk are in the match itself. The worst thing about this is Husky Harris is not in this match as I see him being a future star for the company.
Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes
This is the first of two predicted matches that may or may not have Money In the Bank implications. The rumor is right now that either this could be a singles match or be part of the annual M.I.T.B. match which appears to be happening at this point. Personally I’d like to see these two have a singles match cause it’s fresh, new and has had some pretty decent buildup thus far.
The word from reports is that Rey Mysterio handpicked Cody Rhodes as his opponent for this one and I think it’s a great choice. Mysterio doesn’t have that many years left in the ring sadly and Cody Rhodes is a future star in the waiting. Mysterio can help elevate his game by having a match with him at WrestleMania. I am hopeful that the eventual Creative Team outcome is that these two have a singles match at the biggest show of the year.
Diesel vs. The Big Show
If I had to guess whether or not this match is going to happen at WrestleMania 27 or not I’d have to say there is possibly a 40% chance of it actually happening right now. There has been no follow up or storyline for us to believe it to happen with the exception of the Royal Rumble staredown back in January. You have to wonder though if the WWE might decide to do this “specialty match” just to give the WrestleMania card some extra “entertainment” flavor.
Lets face it, this is not going to be a wrestling clinic of a match. This is specifically designed for people to be in amazement as two giants square off in the ring and a WWE legend (Diesel) returns to the squared circle. As of right now I don’t see this match happening, but there is a chance that it could happen still. Ummmm at this rate WWE you better do it!
Money In The Bank Ladder Match:
Wade Barrett vs. Kane vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger vs. Drew McIntyre vs. John Morrison vs. R-Truth vs. Christian vs. Ted DiBiase or with The Big Show/Rey Mysterio/Cody Rhode
