Canadian Girl Becomes Internet Sensation Thanks to Lady Gaga

A 10-year-old Canadian girl has become the latest Internet sensation thanks to her incredible voice and a little help from Lady Gaga.

The avant-garde pop singer will be joining Maria Aragon live on the phone when the youngster performs on Virgin Radio 99.9 in Toronto Friday at 3:45pm. Aragon, a Winnipeg native, posted a video of herself singing Lady Gaga’s single Born this Way on YouTube. The pop singer saw the post and linked to it on her Twitter Feed.

“Can’t stop crying watching this. This is why I make music. She is the future,” Lady Gaga tweeted Thursday.

As of Friday morning more than one million people viewed the girl’s Youtube video.
And another 10-year-old Toronto girl who’s been posting videos of herself singing to YouTube since she was eight has landed a record deal. A video of Heather Russell was sent to the same producer that discovered Lady Gaga and he sent it on to former American Idol judge Simon Cowell. Russell sang one song for him during a meeting in London and he signed her to his label.

Her first album is due out later this year.
