Christina Ricci is afraid of indoor plants and admits she can’t even go near a pot plant at someone’s house because the soil makes her feel “dirty”. “They are dirty, if I have to touch one, after already being repulsed by the fact that there is a plant indoor, then it just freaks me out.”


Britney Spears fears Komodo dragons and other lizards.


Tyra Banks has a deep fear of dolphins. “I have dreams that I am in a pool and there are dolphins bumping me and I’m frightened,” she has said.

Jake Gyllenhaal has a fear of ostriches.  He discovered his fear on the "Prince of Persia" set. He said he was deathly afraid to go near them during the movie and still thinks about them attacking him. "They look like they're innocent, but they're really not."


Scarlett Johansson is afraid of cockroaches. She says this fear started when one time she woke up with a cockroach on her face.


Sarah Michelle Gellar, from Buffy the Vampire Slayer", has a fear of graveyards and admits that she's had nightmares of being buried alive. Lucky for her, the set-dressing wizards on "Buffy" were able to create phony grave sites so that Gellar never had to shoot in a real cemetery.


Lady Gaga fears she will get a brain tumor. She does everything to avoid getting one. After reading mobile phones may cause brain tumors, she refused to hold a mobile phone close to her head. To prevent the danger, she gets one of her entourage to key in numbers for her. They then hold the phone away from her head when she speaks. Gaga says she gets checked for brain tumors often.


Alfred Hitchcock had a fear of eggs. "I’m frightened of eggs, worse than frightened, they revolt me. That white round thing without any holes … have you ever seen anything more revolting than an egg yolk breaking and spilling its yellow liquid? Blood is jolly, red. But egg yolk is yellow, revolting. I’ve never tasted it."
