Two of TNT's hit summer series return for their winter runs this week. First, The Closer, basic cable's #1 rated show, will kick off a five-episode run on Monday, December 6th, while Leverage returns with three new episodes over two weeks on Sunday, December 12th.
On the new episodes of The Closer, starring Emmy winner Kyra Sedwick as Los Angeles Deputy Police Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, the LAPD will feel the effects of new Chief of Police Tommy Delk's (Courtney B. Vance) promotion. Battlestar Galactica's Mary McDonnell reprises her role as Capt. Sharon Raydor, who has a significant change of attitude in light recent events. Meanwhlie, Lt. Andy Flynn (Tony Denison) faces possible career-ending allegations, and, on a much lighter note, Brenda and her FBI agent hubby Fritz (Jon Tenney) engage in some workplace nookie.
On Leverage's winter run, Star Trek: The Next Generation's Wil Wheaton reprises his role as manipulating hacker Chaos in a holiday themed episode that will see Parker (Beth Riesgraf) happily dressed as an elf and Eliot (Christian Kane) not-so-happily dressed as Santa. Also, ER's Goran Visnjic guest stars as a new nemesis for Nate (Timothy Hutton) and his team, and Elisabetta Canalis (aka George Clooney's girlfriend) returns as The Italian.
Oh Lindsay from "Angel," even with your long-ass hair, you're still fine.
HBIC Brenda Leigh Johnson's been snatching your favorite cable show's wigs since 2005.
