X Factor's resident boyband One Direction will reportedly be offered a record deal by Simon Cowell whether they win the show or not.
The massively popular boyband are not actually favourites to win the show but have already established a huge following of teenage girls (see pictures above).
It is claimed that Simon Cowell sees a great future for the band and has set writers and executives to work on a One Direction album.
"It's a done deal," a source told The Sun. "Writers and producers connected with his Syco label have already been asked to pitch tracks for the group."
"Although they're young he doesn't want them to be squeaky clean," the source added. "He knows they will connect better by being edgy, like JLS or even East 17."
Other X Factor contestants to sign record deals despite not winning the show include Olly Murs, Diana Vickers and JLS.
