WHAT DID THEY RENAME THEIR NEW UPCOMING ALBUM?
FROM SAINTS AND SINNERS TO:

After initially announcing that their upcoming fifth album would be called Saints & Sinners, GODSMACK is now going with the title The Oracle. In a video posted on Rockpit.com, frontman SULLY ERNA explains that he started to feel as though the title Saints & Sinners was not very original. Erna says, "I started really doing a lot of research on Saints & Sinners, and although I liked what it represented, it’s been done before. I think WHITSENAKE had a record out in '82 or something like that....but there’s been some other artists as well, even Spanish albums that I found called Saints and Sinners." In addition, Erna said the spiritual overtones of both that title, coupled with the band's name, was overkill. Erna says, "It was all feeling a little bit religious to me, and that really wasn’t what this record represented."

So why The Oracle, then? Erna explains in the video that it's the name of a new instrumental he wrote for the disc. He says, "Once I wrote the instrumental...we titled [the album that] because it’s really the epitome of all rock songs. Like, if you listen to this track it almost has every transition that’s ever been created in rock music in one song." Other new song titles revealed in the video include "War & Peace" and "Crying Like A B**ch."

The Oracle will be Godsmack’s fifth studio album, following up 2006’s IV and the nearly two-year hiatus that ended last summer when the guys joined the Crüe Fest 2 tour.

Also:

Sully Erna told The Pulse of Radio that following their hiatus, Godsmack intends to keep working straight through the next decade. "We grinded pretty hard for 10 years and we took a strict year off," he said. "I mean literally, when we pulled the plug on the tour, we said, don't call me, I'll call you. And then, you know, the following year, we started writing the new record. So we decided that since we pretty much have had two years off, we are now gonna get back into it for the next 10 years again and really grind hard."
