The 'Love Lockdown' rapper, who recently pulled out of a co-headlining 'Fame Kills' tour with Lady GaGa, is said to be eager to start on the follow-up to 2008's 808s & Heartbreak.
"Kanye's taking a bit of time away from the limelight. But he keeps telling me all these ideas he has for songs and fashion bits," recent collaborator A-Trak told the Daily Star.
"It's really amazing just how many ideas he has."
Meanwhile, protégé Mr Hudson recently revealed that West is "getting back into rapping" on his upcoming album.
West previously said that he wanted to take some time off following his outburst during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs in September.
