Telly beauty Rachel Stevens was mugged for her engagement ring yesterday on her own doorstep.
The Strictly Come Dancing star — due to have a posh wedding in weeks — was ambushed by three thugs as she went into her £800,000 flat.
Rachel, 31, was left badly shaken after the robbers shouted, “Give us the f***ing stuff!” and demanded she remove the ring bought by actor fiancé Alex Bourne.
The ring was taken with a necklace and Rolex watch, a haul which together was worth tens of thousands of pounds.
Rachel was attacked in broad daylight as she arrived home at her flat near Regent’s Park, North London, at 4pm.
Police are probing whether the gang had been following her movements during a shopping trip.
The distressed star dialled 999 and was able to give descriptions of the muggers, who fled in a car but are not thought to have had weapons.
Police raced to the scene and forensic officers were later seen dusting Rachel’s front door and the inside of her third-floor flat for fingerprints.
The former S Club 7 favourite is due to marry Family Affairs star Alex, 31, in France in August.
It is not known if Alex, who shares the apartment with her, was home at the time.
The flat is close to where dozens of celebs such as Jude Law, Sadie Frost and Kate Moss live.
One of the robbers was white and the two others were black.
The star’s spokeswoman Charlotte Hickson said last night: “Rachel did experience an intrusion and is shaken but otherwise OK."
Earlier this year Rachel told how she would not be expecting any of her old S Club 7 bandmates at her wedding.
She said: “I haven’t seen any of them for so long, so I don’t think any of them will be there. Not because I don’t want them to, but because we’re not really in touch any more.”
The attack is being probed by detectives from Camden Robbery Squad, who appealed for witnesses to call 020 7404 1212.
Glad she wasn't hurt.
I miss S Club 7.
