Rihanna Alleged Victim -- Deadly Weapon Charge

Posted Feb 9th 2009 11:35AM by TMZ Staff
TMZ has confirmed Rihanna is the named alleged victim in the Chris Brown case and the allegation is that she was assaulted with a deadly weapon.

Law enforcement sources tell us the crime report calls the incident assault with a deadly weapon -- we do not yet know the nature of the weapon.

The crime report gives the victim's name as Robyn Fenty -- that's Rihanna's real name.

ETA:
"I just got a message from Chris’ camp saying the following:
“Hopefully we will have a statement by the end of the day. Just know that this is being reported only 1 sided, but this is what the media does. We are saddened by this whole situation, but we will pray for the best and be Chris’ rock no matter what way this may go. Just know that Chris is a great person, but also human. Thanks for all of your support.”

So, there you have it. Expect a full explanation sometime today, and remember that CHRISBROWNWEB.com has you covered for all things Chris Brown! We’re still covering this developing story live."

So why, you ask, was Chris Brown booked for making criminal threats rather than domestic abuse, given the victim — we’re told Rihanna — had “visible injuries”?

Law enforcement sources tell us they typically book a suspect for the most serious crime they can be charged with — it’s then up to the D.A. to file any additional charges.

Given there were allegedly visible injuries, the crime of making criminal threats is punishable by up to nine years in prison. Domestic abuse is four years.

ETA2, from TMZ:

"Law enforcement sources tell us even though the police report in the Chris Brown arrest refers to assault with a deadly weapon, there was no weapon involved in the alleged attack.

The police report cites Penal Code Section 245 -- Assault with a Deadly Weapon. However, we're told there was no weapon involved.

We had been hearing there was an umbrella in the car -- which would have been the most ironic thing ever -- but again... no weapon is alleged.

One law enforcement source who has been dead on so far claims Rihanna suffered contusions and bite marks."

Use your pants like a normal human being, weirdo!

Bite Mark, Swelling Visible On Chris Brown’s Hand When He Was Released On Bail

Pictures of Chris Brown taken while he cowered in the back seat of an SUV after being released on $50,000 bail, show redness and swelling on the knuckles of his right hand and a small break in the skin on the joint of his right index finger. The injury is consistent with a bite mark.

Which means Rihanna put up a fight and left evidence of an ass whooping on Brown.

There are also pics floating around the Internet supposedly showing Chris Brown pumping gas while Rihanna sat in his silver Lambo the night of the savage attack.

Actually, those photos were taken late Friday-early Saturday morning.

Celebrity Vibe has a shot of Rihanna and Chris in his silver lambo literally minutes before he assaulted her inside the Lambo in the wee hours of Sunday morning.

Earlier reports stated the fight started in their limo, but those reports were incorrect. The fight occurred in Brown’s Lambo and then spilled into the street near Hancock park which is miles away from the hotel where the couple were staying in Hollywood.

Some bloggers are speculating that the two were on the hunt for some weed or ecstasy before the fight broke out. But I highly doubt that.

Both CB and Rihanna fled the scene on foot leaving behind the Lambo which was towed to a police impound lot.
