Catherine Tate headed for Hollywood?
CATHERINE Tate is in talks to star in a Hollywood film alongside Liam Neeson.
The Doctor Who actress, 40, is in Los Angeles to screen test for the project featuring the Schindler’s List star, 56.
And while in Tinseltown, she is meeting telly execs about a US version of her BBC sketch show, which featured characters like Lauren with her catchphrase “Am I bovvered?”
The move follows the success of fellow comics David Walliams and Matt Lucas with Little Britain USA.
A source said: “The film sounds exciting as it stars Liam Neeson.
“The US sketch show has also been mooted — it is very early days, but everyone loves Catherine. Her show has been on BBC America and a lot of important people are fans.”
Last month TV Biz told how Catherine will make a comeback as the Doctor’s sidekick Donna in one of four Who specials on BBC1 next year.
They replace the normal series, suspended so that Time Lord David Tennant, 37, could take time out for stage roles.
BBC chiefs are still bidding to get him to return for a full series in 2010, and are also talking to him about starring in a possible Doctor Who movie.
