Comedic actor Bill Murray is scheduled to perform a tandem jump with the Army Parachute Team Golden Knights at the 50th annual Chicago Air & Water Show in August.
The Chicago-area native will perform with the same team that has jumped with former President George H.W. Bush, said Mary May, a spokeswoman for the Mayor's Office of Special Events.
Murray, who is jumping on behalf of USO Illinois, an organization that provides support to wounded war veterans, will land at North Avenue Beach, she said.
Murray's jump, which will begin at about 3 p.m. Aug. 15, will be preceded by the singing of the national anthem by Florence Henderson, best known for her role as Carol Brady on TV's "The Brady Bunch."
