Shia LaBeouf will check into rehab to help his chances of beating a drink driving conviction, according to reports.
The 22-year-old star suffered serious hand injuries and was charged with driving under the influence after a serious car crash in Hollywood on July 27th.
Investigators have ruled the other driver caused the accident by running a red light, but LaBeouf is still facing a stiff sentence for drunk driving when he appears in court later this month - and he’s prepared to do anything to help his cause, reports the New York Post.
The newspaper claims LaBeouf is readying himself for rehab because “judges like to see it (rehab)”.
A spokesperson for the actor - who checked out of hospital on Saturday - declined to comment on the allegations, adding: “Right now, we’re focusing on Shia’s hand.”
