Michael Lohan is not impressed.

Lindsay Lohan might have excused herself from all promotion related to “Living Lohan,” the reality series that follows little sister Ali and mom Dina, but that doesn’t mean that dad Michael is content to quietly stand back and watch his ex-wife and youngest daughter navigate their way up (or down) the ladder of celebrity.

Michael Lohan has agreed to share his reactions to each installment of the series with a blog on OK! magazine’s Web site.

Regarding the premiere episode, titled “Mommy Will Fix It,” which aired on Memorial Day, Michael appears to take the high road and edit himself more than he has in the past. “If I were to look at things from a worldly perspective, I would probably have a lot to say about exploitation, hypocrisy and even deception,” he told the magazine.

Don’t expect his discipline to last, however. Michael went on to say that future episodes, which he said he’s screened, might be cause for speaking out. “I will say that some of the people Dina surrounds the kids with still concerns me again, I can address that when they appear on the show. I just hope Dina takes the high road like a Lohan would and rights these wrongs.”

A source close to the Lohan family suspects that Michael won’t have much longer to speak his mind because he and Dina are due to face off in court again the first week of June. “It’s going to get ugly,” said the source. “Things are going to get nastier before they get better, and there’s sure to be a gag order in place.”

The ubiquitous Dina Lohan, 45-year-old manager mom of Lindsay, is usually spotted in red-carpet photos perched, cougarlike, to one side of her troubled daughter. Now Mommy's in full view with E!'s Living Lohan, in which she invites us to gape at her, Lindsay's 14-year-old fame-seeking sis Ali, and 11-year-old Cody. And hey, it turns out I don't want to Live Lohan. The irritation turned to repulsion around the first minute, when Dina, after her morning ritual of scanning the tabloids for Lindsay's weary mug, announces, ''They'd better not start in on Ali like this.'' Hey, I have an idea: Don't film a reality show in your child's fricking bedroom!

The woman who last year told Harper's Bazaar, ''Reality shows, I get sick inside,'' now invites cameras to document the launch of Ali's singing career. (The girl makes song choices with all the focus of a kindergartner insisting on wearing her favoritest shoes.) The remainder of the Lohans' lives apparently revolves around Googling themselves, watching tabloid TV, and then having an assistant Google more. Mother Lohan defends this gossip-gathering as protecting her daughters, but there's an uncomfortable sheen of glee to the proceedings. ''Is that Lindsay?'' young Ali says, looking over her mother's shoulder at a still from a sex tape starring a Lindsay look-alike; she seems more curious than upset. (Lindsay has wisely ducked out of this fiasco — not even her voice is heard on the phone.) Dina snipes about the paparazzi's invasion of privacy, but thanks to her, there's not too much left to invade. F
