Angelina Jolie & Jonny Lee Miller Out For Dinner Again

The Daily Mail is reporting that Angelina Jolie went out for dinner with her ex-husand, Jonny Lee Miller, Monday night in Beverly Hills, California.

Rumours started circling about the two earlier this year when Jolie was spotted leaving Jonny Lee Miller's apartment in NYC back in June amid her ongoing divorce battle with Brad Pitt.

Jolie has also been seen going out for dinner with The Weeknd, with whom she has apparently formed a close bond.

Jamie Lee Curtis Honors Her Late Mother With Iconic 'Psycho' Look for 'Halloween Kills' Premiere

Jamie Lee Curtis honored her late mother, Janet Leigh, at the costume party premiere for her film, Halloween Kills, held at TCL Chinese Theatre last night (Oct 12). Curtis arrived on the red carpet dressed as her mother's iconic character, Marion Crane from Psycho.

"I am honoring my beautiful late mama, Janet Leigh, but... it's a little more meta than that," Curtis told ET's Matt Cohen. "I am actually going as Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh in the movie Hitchcock. So it's meta because we never knew what color Janet Leigh's dress was because it was a black-and-white movie."

"But now because of the Hitchcock movie, we know it was pale blue," she continued, adding how she made sure to nail the costume. "And mommy did a little DIY art project the other day. I was worried you would see this and just think I looked like a '50s housewife. So I thought, you know, maybe I need a little bloody shower curtain."

Timothee, Dune

'Dune' Covers Entertainment Weekly

Entertainment Weekly talks up Dune in advance of its US release later this month. The photoshoot accompanying the article was shot on a tiny island just off the Lido during the 2021 Venice Film Festival. Some tidbits from the article:

  • Denis Villeneuve signed on to direct Dune in January 2017. Timothée Chalamet, who had auditioned for Prisoners, knew this, was interested in playing Paul, and tried to make himself available to talk to Villeneuve on the 2017-2018 awards circuit. Zendaya, who loved Prisoners, also aggressively pursued the role of Chani. For other roles, Villeneuve sought the actors out himself.

  • All of the actors talk about how much they loved working with Villeneuve.

  • Most of the scenes set in Arrakis were filmed in Abu Dhabi and Jordan's Wadi Rum.

  • Other settings consisted of elaborate sets with minimal green screening to provide a sense of realism.

  • Splitting it up into two parts allows for more showing and less exposition dumping, and makes the material more digestible.

  • Villeneuve thinks that the world of Dune, created over 50 years ago and showing a world out of balance, is a good example of why citizens and politicians should be seeking to protect the environment and trusting scientists.

  • Zendaya, who has limited screen time in part one, on a potential sequel: There's so much story left to be told. I would love to spend more time with these characters. I learned so much as an actress and became better just from that experience of being around Denis, watching him interact with his actors and run sets, and then seeing the way Javier works too. I also became wonderful friends with Timothée, who's now like my family I would say. We talk all the time about how fun it's gonna be if we get to do it. Selfishly, I want to do [a second film] to have fun and spend time with my friend.

Were there spoilers in the SCREAM trailer?

After Paramount Pictures dropped the trailer for Scream, many fans, including myself, were concerned about the protentional spoilers in the 2 minute video. I even made a "non-spoilery teaser" for the film.

Bloody-Disgusting talked to filmmakers Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett:

Bettinelli-Olpin says, "This was a hard trailer for [marketing] to put together, and I think one of the things we’re happy with is that anything that you might think is a spoiler in this, there’s a good chance you’re wrong. There are misdirects within the movie. There are misdirects within the trailer. For us, that’s just the fun of the whole thing to make this a big whodunnit. Spoilers suck, but the fun as fans is to talk about who might be the killer. Then to go through it forensically to try and find out and see if you can win the game, basically.”

After watching the trailer, many fans have voiced their theories on Twitter. The marketing team for Scream even created a Facebook group called "Woodsboro Horror Film Club."

Gillett adds, "Part of what we love about the Scream movies, and what we love about the Scream fandom is just how deep people watch these movies. We think some of the fun of this experience is this forensic watching of things and trying to figure out who the killer is. It’s all a part of what’s so unique and so special about this franchise to us. As deep, deep fans of the original four, we took pains to populate the world of this movie, and certainly the materials with as many fun nods and Easter eggs and misdirects as possible.”

Do you avoid trailers/marketing to not be spoiled before watching a movie?

ONTVLand: The A-Team (An ONTD original)

Near the end of the Vietnam war an elite commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they did not commit. Escaping from a maximum-security stockade and going underground, they operated as soldiers of fortune while running from the Army M.P. and trying to prove their innocence. The A-Team ran on NBC from 1983 to 1987.

Lt. Col. John “Hannibal” Smith (George Peppard). Lt.. Tempton “Face” Peck (Dirk Bendedict) & Sgt. Bosco Albert “B.A.” Baracus (Mr. T) were told by their commanding officer, Col. Morrison, to rob the Hanoi bank because he believed it would help to end the war. They do so, but when they get back to H.Q. the Col. is dead, the place is burned down & no one believes they were under orders. The team's pilot Capt. H.M. “Howling Mad” Murdock (Dwight Schultz) wasn’t involved in the heist, but is willing to help them while they’re on the lam in between stays in V.A. psychiatric wards. Pursued at first by Col. Lynch (William Lucking), then by Col. Decker (Lance DeGault) and finally by Gen. Fulbright (Jack Ging). The A-Team gets help from newspaper reporter Amy Alan (Melinda Culea) & after she accepts an overseas assignment, fellow reporter Tawnia Baker (Marla Heasley) gets in on the action.

Reuse of the same basic plots (There are bad guys. B.A. refuses to fly, Murdock is doing something crazy, Face cons someone, Hannibal has a plan.) with the same predictable outcome (The A-Team saves the day with a weapon or a vehicle made out of random bits & pieces. Sometimes with the Army M.P. right on their heels.) contributed to a ratings drop by the fourth season.
A fifth season premise change had Smith, Peck & Baracus getting captured and Murdock arranging to have their deaths faked in front of a firing squad with the help of special effects man Frankie “Dishpan” Santana (Eddie Velez). A mysterious CIA operative Gen. Stockwell (Robert Vaughn) finds them & offers to get them pardons, if they complete a series of suicide missions for him. They agree and get into a series of Mission Impossible style situations. Ratings continued to slip and there were only 13 episodes in the fifth & final season.

Emma Kenney says the "Shameless" set was much more positive after Emmy Rossum left

During a recent interview, actress Emma Kenney (Debbie Gallagher) shared some tidbits about her experience on Shameless:

  • She stole toilet paper from trailers.

  • She had her first on-camera kiss on the show.

  • Emmy Rossum, who played the part of Fiona, was like a real sister "in good and bad ways."

  • Emma said, "I was obviously a lot younger. There were times when she would try to be a good influence and then there were times where she would be blatantly giving me bad...not the best advice.

  • Emma also said that she used to feel like there was a "weird competition" between herself and Emmy.  "I don't know if it was other people on set creating that or if it was her creating that, but I know I wasn't creating it."

  • When Emmy left the show, Emma said, "It was weird at first, for sure, but the set became a little bit more of a positive place. I'm not gonna lie. I remember, pre her leaving I'd go to set some days and I'd be very anxious about having a scene with her... because if she had a bad day, she made it a bad day for everyone."

A source close to Emmy says that the actress is "planning to reach out to Emma privately" after hearing this. "This is not how Emmy remembers their work relationship and friendship. She's really surprised and disappointed about this as it's not the way she remembers her time spent on set and especially with Emma."

Raeden Greer Says She Was Fired from True Detective by Cary Fukunaga for Refusing to Appear Nude

Raeden Greer was cast in True Detective when she was 24 under the contractual clause that there would be no nudity involved.

After receiving the script and noticing that the role involved a bit of dancing, she wanted to make sure the role did not require her to be nude:

“So, I started asking after that, like, ‘To be clear, there’s no nudity involved in this role, right?’” Greer recalls. “I kept getting the answer from my agent and from casting—no, that would be absolutely unheard of if they asked you to do nudity after it wasn’t disclosed. There was no rider, there was no negotiating this into your contract, that would not happen, so stop asking about it because it’s making you look amateurish.’ So, I was like, ‘OK, I’m gonna quit worrying about it.’”

Disney releases new trailer for Peter Jackson's Beatles documentary series

• In 1969, director Michael Lindsay-Hogg was granted unrestricted access to the recording sessions for what would become the album Let It Be. He also captured footage of The Beatles rooftop performance, the last live performance the band would ever play. Some of the footage made its way into a documentary released in the wake of the band's breakup (the documentary was also titled Let It Be), but hours of footage and audio was left unused and locked in a vault for 50 years. Director Peter Jackson is the first person to be given access to this footage.

• Jackson restored the footage using the same techniques used for his WWI documentary They Shall Not Grow Old, and the series was created using 60 hours of unseen footage that was shot over the 21 day marathon recording session. Jackson aims to show the "reality" of the recording session instead of only focusing on the tension between band members. It will also feature the full 42 minute rooftop performance.

• The series will premiere on Disney+ over the course of three days starting November 25 and each episode is two hours long.

idk i'm not a beatles fanatic, but the restored footage looks incredible

Custody Battle Continues Between Brody Dalle and Joshua Homme of Queens of the Stoneage

Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme and his ex-wife Brody Dalle faced off in a Los Angeles courtroom Wednesday as Dalle, founder of the punk band The Distillers, pleaded not guilty to contempt in their turbulent child custody battle.

Homme accused Dalle of violating a custody agreement by not allowing him to see their children. Dalle has accused Homme of domestic violence, verbal harassment, and being a danger to all three of their kids.

Their children are 15, 10, and 5 and the judge is considering appointing round-the-clock monitoring in each home to evaluate the situation.

“That’s all I’m asking for, that my kids are safe. We have to protect kids. We should always protect kids,” Dalle told Rolling Stone as she left the courthouse.

A few minutes after Dalle departed, Homme gave a brief statement as well, his eyes wet with tears. “The hardest job in the world is to be a mom, but dads are important too. I’d wade through anything for my kids, even this,” he said.

The couple’s daughter was previously granted a restraining order barring her father from contacting her.

Back in 2017, Homme received backlash after kicking a photographer in the head.

Daniel Craig likes going to gay bars

The 53 year old actor has been married to actress Rachel Weisz since 2011, but he says he has been going to gay bars for as long as he can remember.

One, because he gets in less fights. He says everybody is chill at gay bars and there’s none of the aggressive heterosexual dick swinging he finds at straight bars. (I think he is just talking about toxic masculinity.)

Two, before he was married he says it was a good place to pick up women. He says he would go to those bars for ulterior motives and so would straight women. He says it was a very safe place to be.

I think this came out at an interesting time because I’ve recently seen a lot of discourse about straight women and men flooding gay bars/clubs and making the queer folk at those gay spaces feel unsafe, when the whole point is it’s supposed to be a safe space for queer people. The rebuttal I’ve seen from certain straight women is that they too deserve a space to feel safe.

Beanie was on Andy Cohen's radio show and talked about starring in the Funny Girl revival, a role many people thought Lea would kill for

Beanie didn't knew about any of this and also doesn't even know who Lea is

“I didn’t know that any of this was happening, by the way. All of a sudden people started explaining it to me and I was like, ‘What?’ Like … ‘I didn’t understand.’"

"She very sweetly wrote on my Instagram [but] I don't know the woman whatsoever."
