Eurovision 2021 winners Måneskin teamed up with Iggy Pop for a new version of "I wanna be your slave" "It was such an honour that Iggy loved our music and wanted to work with us. It was touching seeing him sing ‘I Wanna Be Your Slave’ live in front of us, it was very powerful to see such a big artist being so open and friendly. We all grew up listening to his music and he inspired us to start up a band, it’s still unbelievable for us that we had the chance to get to know him and make music together."
Jamie Spears has filed documents saying that Britney Spears’ personal conservator, Jodi Montgomery, told him that his daughter is “mentally sick” and wanted to place her under a 5150 psychiatric hold before her July testimony.
In a statement, Montgomery denied his claims and, once again, is asking him to step down from Britney's conservatorship.
Montgomery’s statement says, in part: “Ms. Montgomery implores Mr. Spears to stop the attacks. It does no good; it only does harm. We all need to focus on one thing, and one thing only — the health, well-being and best interests of Britney Spears.”
Jamie alleged that Montgomery called him last month to say that she is concerned about his daughter’s behavior and mental health. He says that Montgomery asked for his help in addressing these issues.
Montgomery does acknowledge she has concerns about Britney's recent behavior and overall mental health but "due to medical privacy, Ms. Montgomery cannot go into those concerns with any further detail." However, she denies wanting to put Britney under a psychiatric hold.
She continues, "having her father Jamie Spears continuing to serve as her Conservator instead of a neutral professional fiduciary is having a serious impact on Ms. Spears’ mental health."
This comes after Britney's lawyer filed documents to have Jamie removed ASAP.
The Foo Fighters hit Kansas on their tour and took the opportunity to reignite their longstanding feud with the Westboro Baptist Church. The hate group routinely descends on the parking lot outside Foo Fighters shows with their dumb signs. The band, in their Dee Gees attire, hopped on a flatbed truck and performed their cover of the Bee Gees’ “You Should Be Dancing.”
Dave Grohl told the protesters as the band played, “The way I look at it, I love everybody. That’s what you’re supposed to do… I deliver all of my love, and you shouldn’t be hating. You should be dancing!”
On their end, the Westboro hate group seems to enjoy the attention the Foo Fighters give them. Foo Fighters last trolled the Westboro Baptist Church in 2016 prior to their Kansas City concert, with the group delivering a rickroll dance party.
Nope, I’m the opposite of a “not washing themselves” celeb. Shower (cold) when I roll outta bed to get my day rollin’. Shower (warm) after my workout before work. Shower (hot) after I get home from work. Face wash, body wash, exfoliate and I sing (off key) in the shower 🧼 🎶 https://t.co/iE6ZPhrthL

Well I never got to go to prom, but this year for my bday my friends decided to change that. I love these humans more than words can describe. Only they could know that an 80s prom murder mystery party on a boat is my literal dream birthday. What a family, what a night 💜 pic.twitter.com/9Qm1Fwr3Bj
Kenneth Petty has agreed to plead guilty to one count of failing to register. In exchange, federal prosecutors say they will seek a lesser sentence.
The mandatory minimum sentence is five years of supervised release. The judge will ultimately decide his punishment. Petty was facing up to 10 years in prison with a lifetime of supervised release if he didn’t plead out. He could still face jail time depending on how the judge accounts for his criminal history.
Twitter think yesterday’s antics with Jessie J was a plot to cover up her husband’s legal issues
So there's not an accompanying Tweet, BUT it's not like CNN isn't a reputable source (mostly), so! I'm only picking the 4 I recognize.
Yes I know this gif is from The Parkers. Did you know that Moesha and The Parkers (and I think Girlfriends) take place in the same universe?
Moesha Mitchell (Moesha) - 'with a boldness to speak her truth and stand up for what she believes in', which caused a lot of strife in the first few seasons against her pigheaded father. Later seasons did emphasize her smarts and ability to forge her own path, with the help of her friends and stepmother.

Because the synonym for "Escapade" is trademarked and OP ain't trying to get sued. For this evening, you'll be choosing between two on the surface shitty movies that welp, are probably shitty, but whatever we're just here to have fun and shit talk. So there's a poll, here's the movies you can choose from this evening. Three will enter, one will emerge victorious and we all lose.

Since laying down his sword in Game of Thrones, Kit Harington has been fighting other battles. He tells @TheSTMagazine about surviving alcohol addiction and depression - and the first months of fatherhoodhttps://t.co/WXZpYdO86W
Kit Harington sat down with The Sunday Times to talk about surviving alcohol addiction, depression and fatherhood.
Fatherhood and marriage are central to Harington’s new life of sobriety. He has been sober for two-and-a-half years following a stint in rehab. "Life is wonderful. I have a child and my relationship is brilliant … I’m a very, very happy, content, sober man."
He was so depressed following the end of Game of Thrones, he thought about taking his own life. He got married and finished GoT in the same period, and was a period of intense emotion and physical exhaustion, and he wept a great deal. He still finds it difficult to talk about. "I went through some pretty horrible stuff. Things that have happened to me since Thrones ended, and that were happening during Thrones, were of a pretty traumatic nature and they did include alcohol."
He finds fatherhood physically draining and his advice to anyone would be to say goodbye to their old life. He tries not to project his anxieties on his son.
He doesn't like to be called sexy, he finds it demeaning. "It’s demeaning for both women and men. It’s demeaning for anyone to be categorised by their appearance, no matter how that might sound when some people might say it’s what gets me work. Well, I disagree with that...My acting. I would hope it would be something that I bring to screen that’s not just fucking how I appear."
After rehab, and after his marriage nearly ended, lockdown happened and he and Rose Leslie were able to isolate and be together. He says she taught him kindness.
His OCD was debilitating (such as kissing the floor three times before going on stage, tapping wood for luck, kissing a crucifix or pictures of his mum and brother) and he learned to manage it.
He admits he handled fame badly and could be an asshole.
Since rehab, Kit has quit smoking cigarettes and is working on kicking the habit altogether, since he still vapes.
He takes some issue with Jon Snow on the show: "I actually don’t think Jon Snow was [the strong, silent male, the show-no-emotion type]. I think he felt he had to be. If you look at him, he’s very vulnerable, and I hope some of that vulnerability came through with what I was trying to do with him."
There were four publicists sitting in on the interview and he called the next day to apologize.

SAG-AFTRA statement via president Gabrielle Carteris: “Disney should be ashamed of themselves for resorting to tired tactics of gender-shaming and bullying. Actors must be compensated for their work according to their contracts. Scarlett Johansson is shining a white-hot spotlight on the improper shifts in compensation that companies are attempting to slip by talent as distribution models change. Nobody in any field of work should fall victim to surprise reductions in expected compensation. It is unreasonable and unjust. Disney and other content companies are doing very well and can certainly live up to their obligations to compensate the performers whose art and artistry are responsible for the corporation’s profits.”
“Additionally, we are deeply concerned by the gendered tone of Disney’s criticism of Ms. Johansson. Women are not ‘callous’ when they stand up and fight for fair pay – they are leaders and champions for economic justice. Women have been victimized by pay inequity for decades, and they have been further victimized by comments like those in Disney’s press statements. These sorts of attacks have no place in our society and SAG-AFTRA will continue to defend our members from all forms of bias.”
