◾ During an interview on Youtube, when asked if people question him for practicing a "feminine" sport, three-time world figure skating champion Nathan Chen answered that, as a "straight male athlete in a fairly LGBTQ-dominated sport" it's "pretty messed up" that they are "belittled" because figure skating has a feminine connotation and people would rather watch guys play hockey instead of "skate around".
◾ Nathan also said that he and his friends are trying to "shift that approach to skating" by using "more pop or hip hop style songs" and dancing instead of "classic pieces" and "posh sort of balle-style movement".
90210 actor Trevor Donovan, 40, took to Twitter to respond to an article and tweet by The Wrap: “These 10 actors were WAY too old to play teens.” Donovan himself isn’t listed, but when he was 28 he played a high school teen himself (Teddy Montgomery) on The CW’s 90210 reboot in season 2. “Age is just a number, get over it,” wrote the actor. “Some people look younger and age slower than others. Stop promoting Ageism!”
[5 of 10 Actors Listed] Gabrielle Carteris, 29, "Beverly Hills, 90210" (1990-2000) During the first season of "Beverly Hills, 90210," Gabrielle Carteris was 29 — a whopping 13 years older than her character, Andrea. The CW's reboot of the teen series later continued that trend, with Matt Lanter playing a high schooler at age 25.
Stacey Dash, 28, "Clueless" (1995) Alicia Silverstone was still a teenager while filming "Clueless," but her co-star Stacey Dash (aka Dionne) was much older, at 28. And she wasn't done there -- Dash continued to play a high schooler in the ABC sitcom version of "Clueless," which ended in 1999, when she was 32.
Ben McKenzie, 25, "The O.C." (2003-2007) Heartthrob Ben McKenzie was 25 when he took on the role of Ryan Atwood on "The O.C." While Ryan was falling for Marissa Cooper at The Harbor School, McKenzie was years away from any real-life high school romance.
Jason Earles, 29, "Hannah Montana" (2006-2015) The older brother of the secret pop star was 16 -- and was played by 29-year-old Jason Earles. Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus, who played Miley/Hannah, was 15 years younger than Earles when she started the show at a ripe 13 years old.
Darren Barnet, 29, "Never Have I Ever" (2020-2021) Darren Barnet is surrounded by age-appropriate actors on the Netflix show, which makes this age difference all the more noticeable. Barnet, who turned 30 just before Season 2 premiered, is 11 years older than his love interest and co-star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan. And if anyone was wondering, Ramakrishnan was 18 when the series premiered.

The German women's gymnastics team has forgone bikini-cut unitards in favor of full-body versions at the Tokyo Olympics as a statement against "sexualization." The suits cover the legs to the ankle and are in contrast to the high-cut leotards worn by many other female gymnasts.
"It's about what feels comfortable. We wanted to show that every woman, everybody, should decide what to wear."
Reba McEntire joined in on the growing “I'm a Survivor” trend on TikTok. The song’s lyrics: “A single mom who works two jobs/ Who loves her kids and never stops/ With gentle hands and heart of a fighter/ I'm a survivor,” have inspired thousands of videos on the app, with many users showing how they’re “a survivor,” often posting funny videos of them taking out the trash, refilling water filters, and doing other daily chores.
In the video, Reba can be seen working hard on the farm, bringing food to her two donkeys who don’t seem very grateful. “When it’s time to feed your donkeys and they’re not the least bit impressed,” she captioned the video.

Hello out there to all you KC stans! It's time to celebrate yet another 'Kellyoke' decade with none other than the timelessly talented Kelly Clarkson. So pop on a ring pop, put on your puka shells, and dust of those JNCO's, because this week we're skating through the 90's! Let's go.
"Hold On" - Wilson Phillips (1990)
"Hold On" topped the Billboard Hot 100 for a full week and was the most successful single of 1990. Chynna Phillips wrote the song's lyrics while battling substance abuse and being in a "really bad" relationship. She explains to Kelly Clarkson, "I just said if I don't change my course, I'm going to be in a lot of trouble." Wow! Who better than to cover the biggest white girl anthem of all time?
Well, there you have it! A journey through the sour, yet sweet, 1990's with the fabulous Kelly Clarkson. What do you think of these covers, ONTD? Would you trade Pokemon cards with Kelly? Stay tuned for next week as we celebrate Y2K with the one and only KC. (Y2KC? Coined it!) Bye!
Bullshit is the foundation of contaminated thinking and bad decisions leading to health consequences, financial losses, legal consequences, broken relationships, and wasted time and resources.
No matter how smart we believe ourselves to be, we’re all susceptible to bullshit—and we all engage in it. While we may brush it off as harmless marketing sales speak or as humorous, embellished claims, it’s actually much more dangerous and insidious. It’s how Bernie Madoff successfully swindled billions of dollars from even the most experienced financial experts with his Ponzi scheme. It’s how the protocols of Mao Zedong’s Great Leap Forward resulted in the deaths of 36 million people from starvation. Presented as truths by authority figures and credentialed experts, bullshit appears legitimate, and we accept their words as gospel. If we don’t question the information we receive from bullshit artists to prove their thoughts and theories, we allow these falsehoods to take root in our memories and beliefs. This faulty data affects our decision making capabilities, sometimes resulting in regrettable life choices.
But with a little dose of skepticism and a commitment to truth seeking, you can build your critical thinking and scientific reasoning skills to evaluate information, separate fact from fiction, and see through bullshitter spin.

In addition to her "BEN" necklace, Jennifer Lopez was gifted by Ben Affleck a variety of jewelry for her 52nd birthday, which she debuted in the same post that confirmed she and Affleck were back together. The pieces were made by fine jewelry store Foundrae and their creative director confirmed each piece was picked for special reasons.
“Ben wanted to get something really special for her birthday,” explains Beth Bugdaycay. “He wanted to put together a meaningful story. With the custom piece Ben created for Jennifer, it clearly communicated their love, but it's also a reminder of their capacity for change and growth...[Ben] reviewed the meanings of each piece before finally selecting these…a lion was also in the running, but I think what he settled on is just perfect...He didn’t just get her the biggest diamond he could find, he wanted to say something about their relationship.”
"The heart of the Foundrae fine jewelry collection is our symbols," Beth explained. "They carry a language of their own and allow the wearer to customize a unique piece that is a reflection of their own personal story; not just a record of where they have been, but a declaration of what is yet in front of them."
They don’t believe in bathing their kids (Wyatt Isabelle, 6, and Dimitri Portwood, 4) with soap every day. Kunis and Kutcher dont use soap on their entire bodies every day. Despite not washing their whole bodies every day, they do wash their faces.
Kunis : “I didn’t have hot water growing up as a child, so I didn’t shower much anyway. But when I had children, I also didn’t wash them every day. I wasn’t the parent that bathed my newborns — ever. That’s how we feel about our children. I wash [my face] twice a day.”
Kutcher : "Now, here’s the thing: If you can see the dirt on them, clean them. Otherwise, there’s no point. I wash my armpits and my crotch daily, and nothing else ever. I got a bar of Lever 2000 that delivers every time. Nothing else. I do have a tendency to throw some water on my face after a workout to get all the salts out."
Dax Shepard admitted that he and wife Kristen Bell used to bathe their daughters Lincoln, 8, and Delta, 6, every day but that stopped as they got older. Shepard insisted you should not be getting rid of the natural oil on your skin with a bar of soap every day and should instead wash with water.
Monica Padman “I can’t believe I am in the minority here of washing my whole body in the shower. Who taught you to not wash?”
“Minamata” director Andrew Levitas has sent a letter to MGM condemning the studio for allegedly burying his historical drama because it stars Johnny Depp.
“MGM had decided to ‘bury the film because MGM was concerned about the possibility that the personal issues of an actor in the film could reflect negatively upon them and that from MGM’s perspective the victims and their families were secondary to this.”
The film was picked up by MGM’s relaunched American International Pictures last fall after world premiering in February 2020 at the Berlin International Film Festival.
MGM said the film is not buried and is just waiting for a release date. The film initially had a day-and-date push set for February 2021 but did not get released.
The much-awaited live-action adaptation of "Heaven Official's Blessing/Tian Guan Ci Fu", the 3rd novel by MXTX (same author that gave us "MDZS/The Untamed"), has finally started filming. Fans were already displeased bc of the casting choices (lead guy is an idol and not an actor/fans wanted other people for the roles/etc) and now the cheap-looking costumes/wigs in the filming photos have only fueled stans' ire.

Today in "US Department of Justice ain't nothing to fuck with" news, the singular copy of Wu-Tang Clan's album, "Once Upon A Time in Shaolin", was sold to cover Martin Shkreli's debts to an undesclosed buyer after he was charged with securities fraud.
"Shaolin" is the most expensive copy of music ever sold, and 13 minutes were played for an audience in 2015. In 2016, Shkreli did stream some of the album online.

"This isn't something I'd change. No. I get-got-immediately being autistic is central to who I am. To everything I've achieved/articulated."
Wentworth Miller, 49, revealed on Instagram that he was diagnosed with autism as an adult last year. Miller noted that access to a diagnosis is a privilege many do not enjoy. He admitted that his diagnosis was "a shock," but "not a surprise". He is sharing his own experience, but he doesn't want to speak for the community as a whole. Miller pointed to the "numerous individuals sharing thoughtful + inspiring content on Instagram [and] TikTok" whom he praised for "unpacking terminology," "adding nuance," and "fighting stigma."

The U.S. Olympic women's gymnastics team takes the gym tonight in Tokyo.
One of the most remarkable mixed zone press conferences I’ve known. In which Simone Biles described pulling out of tonight’s team event because she had to put her mental health first. Says she was inspired by Naomi Osaka among others #Olympics#ArtisticGymnasticspic.twitter.com/p3Rli5S7J0
“At the end of the day, we’re human too,” Simone Biles said after withdrawing from the women’s gymnastics team finals. “So, we have to protect our mind and our body, rather than just go out there and do what the world wants us to do.”https://t.co/FsrtTwxhJU
“I felt like it would be better to take a back seat,” she explained. “I didn’t want to risk the team a medal because they worked way too hard for my screwups.” Biles said she was shaking during the long wait between the team’s morning practice and the competition. “[I] never felt like this before … Once I came out here, I was like, No, the mental is not there. I had to let the girls do it.”
Biles has said one of the primary reasons she wanted to compete in this year’s Games was so that a survivor of Nassar’s abuse would be there, that U.S.A. Gymnastics, which had covered for Nassar for decades, would have to face what it was a part of. “I just feel like [with] everything that happened, I had to come back to the sport to be a voice, to have change happen,” Biles told People. “Because I feel like if there weren’t a remaining survivor in the sport, they would’ve just brushed it to the side.”

As the delta variant of COVID-19 continues to spread throughout the world, particularly amongst those who are unvaccinated, Lizzo is respectfully asking fans to stay a safe distance away if they happen to see her in public.
“I don't care who you are. You could be the nicest person. You could be vaccinated. You could be quadruple vaccinated. If you see me, please give me six feet. This shit is coming back. COVID. And people being real sloppy with personal space,” explained the “Truth Hurts” singer. “It's not you! It's me. I'm not trying to catch nothing. I don't even want to catch feelings, bitch. You think I'm trying to catch COVID?” she added.
“Don't think, ‘Oh she's a celebrity, she thinks she's all that.’ It's not that booboo. You know what I think I am? Healthy. You know what I think I am? COVID-free. You know what I think I am? Full of vitamin D and vitamin C. You know what I think I am? Safe for my family and friends to be around, and my coworkers and teammates. That's who I think I am.”
She continued, “So if y'all see me in the street, come up on me, want to hug, want to shake my hand, want to kiss me on the cheek, don't do it. Don't do it. Cause I ain't trying to catch this motherfucking virus that's coming back. It got way too motherfucking close. It got WAY...it got THIS motherfucking close. And I don't play that. I'm about to be rude. I'm nice, you know what I'm saying? But this virus gonna have me acting up, I'm gonna be mean.”
Lizzo concluded the video by saying, “I love y'all, and I want y'all to be the same way. Protect yourselves. Wear your masks. And until this is cleared up and we know what the fuck this variant is and who it affects — stay safe my friends.”

-While filming the iconic Charlies Angels movie in 2000, not everything was angelic, mainly due to a little actor known as Bill Murray.
-Lucy wouldn't go into extreme details but she discussed how Bill was throwing around insults on set and it got to the point where she was over it.
-While talking to the Asian Enough podcast she stated “I was, like, ‘Wow, he seems like he’s looking straight at me.’ I couldn’t believe that it could be towards me, because what do I have to do with anything majorly important at that time?" -She also revealed that crew members thanked her for taking care of the issue and that she/Bill have buried the hatchet.
-She was astounded how the media attempted to turn the bts drama about her/Drew/Cameron not getting along when it was all about Bill.
