Jack Whitehall Is ‘Proud’ of His Character’s "Coming-Out" Scene in Disney's "Jungle Cruise"

Jack Whitehall ("Clifford the Big Red Dog", "Frozen") of the other green-themed movie coming out this Friday, "Jungle Cruise", is happy with his character's coming out scene in the film. Phrases such as "coming out" and "scene" are very loosely used.

The Variety article outlines the scene - spoilers for the umpteenth "coming out" scene in a Disney film -

[Spoiler (click to open)]The character says he broke off three engagements with women because his “interests happily lay elsewhere.” He goes on to say that he would do anything for his sister Lily (Emily Blunt), because she was the only one who “stood by” him while he was shunned by family and friends because of who he “loved.”

The article says 'he doesn't say the word "gay"', but I'm not sure if that's in this conversation or in the movie - probably the former.

Is that the "intense scene for younger viewers" Disney is constantly warning us about in promo for this movie? Stay tuned.

The notly-anticipated movie comes out this Friday.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania Begins Filming

  • Peyton Reed, director of Marvel Studios' Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania has confirmed that the third installment has begun shooting.

  • Quantumania stars Paul Rudd, Evangline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer and newcomers Kathryn Newton as the all grown-up Cassie Lang (not Endgame's Emma Fuhrmann), and Jonthan Majors as most-likely Kang.

  • The toy is from the first 2015 film Ant-Man, a gift from Scott Lang to his daughter Cassie - which teases that the third installment may be about their father-daughter relationship, and what happened to Cassie in the five years whilst Scott was in the quantum realm.

  • Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will be released on 17th February 2023.

Scott Lang getting a trilogy in the MCU? It's what she deserves.

Aly Michalka Reveals a Potential ‘Easy A’ Sequel Is in the Works

When asked about the rumors over a potential Easy A sequel, Aly Michalka, who plays Rhiannon in the film, shared, “That actually is semi-real.” However, the “Potential Breakup Song” singer explained that it wasn’t likely that main characters from the first film: Olive and Todd (played by Emma Stone and Penn Badgley, respectively) would be the main characters. “It would be kind of like a new retelling but you’d see some of the characters from the original come back into the story,” she said.

In 2019, Variety reported about a possible Easy A spinoff. Their sources said that the project was in early development and was expected to take place at the same school but follow new students and teachers. The original film’s screenwriter, Bert Royal, was reportedly attached to write and direct the sequel.

Memories of a Murderer: The Nilsen Tapes | Official Trailer | Netflix

Britain’s most notorious serial killer, Dennis Nilsen, confessed to killing 15 people in 1983. Over a five-year period, he picked up vulnerable young men, lured them back to his home and strangled them, before disposing of their bodies under the floorboards.

The truth about how and why he killed has been the subject of much speculation in books and documentaries over the decades since. Now, with unique access to a wealth of personal archive left in his cell after his death, including over 250 hours of never-before-published cassette tapes of his private recordings, this film will take us into Nilsen’s world. From a young boy growing up in a quiet Scottish fishing village to a cold-blooded murderer prowling the streets of London.

Set against the backdrop of 1980s Britain, when mass unemployment drew young men to London in search of their fortunes, only to find themselves destitute and easy prey, and weaving together interviews from police, journalists, survivors, bereaved families, and - for the first time - the killer’s own voice, this feature length documentary explores how Nilsen was able to get away with multiple murders and attacks, unchallenged, for five years.

Memories of a Murderer: The Nilsen Tapes is on Netflix August 18.
