Charlize Theron, Andy & Barbara Muschietti are producing an adaptation of Grady Hendrix's novel 'The Final Girl Support Group' for HBO Max. Andy Muschietti is directing the pilot.
Per Deadline, "The novel’s title refers to a Los Angeles–based therapeutic support group for six 'final girls'— survivors of mass-murderer rampages whose experiences inspired the slasher franchises that saturated horror cinema in the 1980s and ’90s, earning them minor celebrity."
Billie Eilish has infuriated some fans after announcing limited edition splatter-painted ‘Happier Than Ever’ CDs, “hand-painted” by Billie herself for $10. - 2 year investigation found that female employees were discriminated against and subjected to harrassment - e.g. of harrassment: "cube crawls" where male employees “drink copious amounts of alcohol as they crawl their way through various cubicles in the office and often engage in inappropriate behavior toward female employees.” - male employees play video games and make rape jokes while delegatting responsibilites to female employees who only make up 20% of their workforce - women were held back from promotions because they may become pregnant, were shamed for leaving to pick up their kids from daycare and kicked out of lactation rooms so men can use them for meetings [TW: sexual assault and suicide] - a woman who had her nude photos passed around at a company party took her own life while on a company trip with her male supervisor
- statement from Activision Blizzard: “We value diversity and strive to foster a workplace that offers inclusivity for everyone. There is no place in our company or industry, or any industry, for sexual misconduct or harassment of any kind. We take every allegation seriously and investigate all claims. In cases related to misconduct, action was taken to address the issue. “The DFEH includes distorted, and in many cases false, descriptions of Blizzard’s past. We have been extremely cooperative with the DFEH throughout their investigation, including providing them with extensive data and ample documentation, but they refused to inform us what issues they perceived. The picture the DFEH paints is not the Blizzard workplace of today.”
The Whitney Houston's state announced that a new residency at Harrah’s Las Vegas called “An Evening With Whitney: The Whitney Houston Hologram Concert” will begin on Oct. 26.
The concert will feature the virtual image and voice of the late singer backed by a live four-piece band and background singers and dancers performing all her hits. This event has been in the works since at least 2019.
Many people question the ethics of using this kind of technology to bring back dead celebrities, but Pat Houston (former manager , sister in law and executor of the singer’s estate ) has said several times that Whitney would have liked the event:
“In 2011, Whitney and I discussed her idea of an intimate, unplugged concert tour. It was a project we called ‘Whitney Unplugged’ or ‘An Evening with Whitney,'”
“While Whitney’s no longer with us, her voice and legacy will live on with us forever. [the concert ] is another chance for us to relive and celebrate the talent that we were so lucky to receive for more than three decades and we’re excited to bring this cutting-edge musical experience to the fans who supported the pop culture phenomenon that was Whitney Houston, because they deserve nothing less.”

Say you are at work and are perusing the Washington Times. Instead of a video talking about some old news, you instead see some hardcore pornography.
No, you have not wandered onto the wrong website; A defunct vido hosting site domain has been brought by a porn company, and they're filling in those old, SFW news videos with their own creations.
A user did the Inspect Element shit so I didn't have to, and the old site was vid.me, now owned by....5 Star Porn. So places like WaPo, Huffington Post, New York Mag, and other normally non-pornographic news sites will give you more than you bargained for, for now.
Twitter hasn’t noticed but a now-defunct video hosting/advertising platform (VidMe) let their domain expire so it was purchased by a porn website, now there is NSFW porn all over the regular internet where their links were embedded lol

Throwing hands, and whatever is in them over my mother. She is a saint. If my phone was in my hand and not my dinner she would’ve gotten that. And none of you would’ve done any different. #betpresentstheencorehttps://t.co/PLOZEwQcQB
I saw a clip of an interview a while ago with an ex-group member talking about “profanities were exchanged” and I think the question is: what profanities were “exchanged” before I popped off? Was it “bitch” and my mother in the same sentence? pic.twitter.com/TCC7IOpI9t

Look out, Chris Hemsworth and Prince William! Dax Shepherd is now swole. He did it because he wants to look like a Marvel star, apparently. He said:
“In quarantine, I said to [my wife, Kristen Bell], ‘I’ve been waiting for 10 years for Marvel to call so that I’d have an excuse to get huge. And they’re not gonna call. That ship sailed. I’m 46. They’re not gonna call. So, I just have to do it for my own amusement.”
He apparently did it through “lifting heavy, protein shakes,"and "going bananas.”
EDIT: He has admitted to using testosterone injections.

Spanish synchronised swimmer Ona Carbonell is disappointed and disillusioned that she cannot take her breastfeeding son with her to the Olympics, because her family would be subject to such drastic restrictions in Japan.
Her husband and son Kai, who is nearly one, would have to stay in quarantine in a separate hotel and would not be able to leave their room for the 20 or so days she would be in Japan.
"For me to go and breastfeed Kai whenever he needs it during the day I would have to leave the Olympic villa, the team's bubble, and go to the hotel, risking my team's health. I had to make a really tough decision ... because the Japanese government's impositions are not compatible with my athletic performance and being with my family at the same time,"
Dr. Dre was ordered to pay $293,306 per month to his ex-wife, which is due on the first of every month.
The payments will continue “until the party receiving support remarries or enters into a new domestic partnership, death of either party.”
Nicole is also getting her health insurance paid by Dre which will be similar to the coverage she had during the marriage. All other insurance for Nicole will be paid out of her pocket.
The judge ordered Dr. Dre to “continue paying the expenses for the Malibu, and Pacific Palisades homes.”
Dr. Dre looks at the decision as a victory for his team after Nicole originally asked for $2 million a month in support. This is only temporary as the couple has an “ironclad prenup.” They are currently negotiating an overall settlement of their divorce, and the amount of money be paid by Dre is temporary.
“I’m asking for basic respect when I want people to say my name right.”
Netflix’s ‘Never Have I Ever’ actress Maitreyi Ramakrishnan took to social media to tweet a voice memo to let people know how to correctly pronounce her name and explain why it matters to say a person’s name correctly.
“Names are so important, and I find that it’s a big part of your identity — it personally is for me. I love my name so, so much. And constantly I get people saying, ‘Oh, you don’t even know how to say your own name right.’ It’s like, ‘No, no, no, I do. I do know how to say my own name right.’”
“Because reality is, no one knows how to say someone else’s name except for the person themselves, you know? Like, this is my name. I’m sorry, but I get to call the shots here. There is one answer and that answer is my own. There’s no discussion for that,” she continued.
“So personally, when I was younger, I used to tell people, ‘Yeah, you can call me My-tree like whatever, I don’t care,’ because I used to think I was inconveniencing them, but I’m not. I’m asking for basic respect when I want people to say my name right, as many of us do, right? Like, we just want our names to be right.”
“But nowadays, being my great, wise, 19-year-old self, I ask people to say my name correctly and I put a lot of active effort whenever it’s like an interview, or, you know, just meeting people in general, like new people. I make sure that they say my name right,” she added.
