Flo from Progressive Commercials Gets Called Out For Being “Freaking Rude” By Food Truck Owner

@bautistud

#stich with @rytoast10 . Is it really so hard to be kind? 🏳️‍🌈 #gay #alphabetmafia #celebrity

Say it isn’t so Flo.

LA Food truck owner, Chris Bautista (known as @bautistud on TikTok) went “viral” for “exposing” Stephanie Courtney (the actress known as Flo from the Progressive commercials) as “freaking rude.” Bautista stitched a TikTok of @rytoast10 asking, “Tell me about a time when a celebrity was rude to you.” Before mentioning the actress, Bautista says he has served many celebrities, including Brad Pitt, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

“But the one celebrity who was rude to me - barely even a celebrity - was Flo from Progressive,” he said. “Flo, the insurance person with the makeup and the red lipstick. She was freaking rude.” Wow Chris, that description was detailed and specific...but I digress.

According to him, Courtney walked up to his food truck with three assistants. One was holding an umbrella for her, another was holding her beverage and the third assistant spoke on her behalf.

The speaking assistant asked Bautista what was available on the menu and he directly replied to Courtney, who ignored him. While the assistant ordered for her, Bautista said he offered the actress different options for the order, and once again she ignored him. The assistant then asked Courtney the same question regarding her order and then relayed her answer back to Bautista.

“She refused to talk to me because I was service,” Bautista said. He ended his video by joking, “You know what if I was you, I’d switch to GEICO,” and flashed a peace sign.

Flo IRL when you try speaking to her:

Loki director confirms gender-fluidity of Tom Hiddleston's trickster god in the MCU

"I would say that details are marked in but it is something acknowledged," Kate Herron, the director of the Disney+ series told Insider. "He's gender fluid in the Norse mythology and the comics and it felt like an important thing to, as you say, make sure it's canon."

"I know how many people identify with Loki in particular and are eager for that representation, especially with this character," Michael Waldron, the head writer on Loki, said. "We worked really hard."

“Breadth and range of identity contained in the character has been emphasized and is something I was always aware of when I was first cast 10 years ago,” said Tom Hiddleston. “I know it was important to Kate Herron and Michael Waldron and to the whole team. And we were very aware, this is something we felt responsible for.”

Red Velvet confirmed to make comeback in August

SM Entertainment has confirmed that Red Velvet will make a full group comeback in August! They will release a full album, their first since Psycho: The Album The ReVe Festival Finale in 2019.

Since then, Wendy went on hiatus for nearly career-ending injuries then came back to release her solo album debut Like Water, Joy released her remake album Hello, Yeri has been filming webdrama Blue Birthday alongside Pentagon's Hongseok, Seulgi has been serving fashion looks and moves, and Irene did a lot of things but mostly yelled at a stylist and that's all everyone remembered about her in 2020.

Red Velvet comebacks tend to be hit or miss for me, I wonder how this will go! At least S&M won’t have to scramble to come up with new content for aespa anytime soon.

I haven't made a post to LJ in six years I hope I didn't screw up the formatting

Taylour Paige: James Franco Zola movie was "very sexist and racist"

Taylour Paige is interviewed by former costar Jonathan Majors for Interview magazine. Through the very good conversation, she talks about the original script of Zola, based on the popular Twitter thread. James Franco had original rights to the story, and was to be written and directed by white men.

"It was originally just two white men trying to have a black voice. The writing felt very sexist and racist. It didn’t jive with the tweets that I read. The voice didn’t match what I saw her write."

When she found out the story was getting a new director and different writers, she jumped back in. Director Janizca Bravo previously recalled getting a text from Jodie Turner-Smith, who overheard Franco saying he was dropping out,and ran to claim the project she got outbid for.

She also discussed her connection with Zola costar and now good friend Riley Keough:

"With Riley and I, it was interesting, because we went to lunch and it was just instant. We both have this thing where we feel like we haven’t quite surrendered to being in the bodies that we’re in. We feel so much bigger than our limited bodies. I’ve never really had someone articulate that before. That translated into chemistry."

Frenemies Podcast Is Over... Again

After a recent on-air dispute over money, percentages and whether the crew of the podcast deserve to get paid as much as they do, Youtuber Trisha Paytas has announced they are stepping down from the Frenemies Podcast, their venture with Ethan Klein of h3h3 Productions.

Summary of the video:

  • Realized they don't regret what they said this time when they usually do and aren't sorry

  • Thought they were 50/50 building the show, but Ethan saw them as just talent and he was the showrunner

  • Says Ethan was talking over them when they tried to talk about LGBTQ+ hate crimes and never listened to their ideas, which include an aerial gymnastics episode, dancing with the stars and clay pottery.

  • Was especially triggered because Ethan hired a new employee for the podcast and immediately used her advice segment idea

  • Trisha earned 50/50 of all revenue from the main Frenemies episodes & merch by just showing up every week, but wanted part of the money from h3h3 memberships and highlights channel

  • Says their main issue is walking into something that Ethan already built & felt uncomfortable with the crew, who are the same crew as the other h3h3 podcasts. Didn't like their inside jokes, etc. Mentions that when they first guested on the main h3h3 podcast, the crew said whether they would fuck Trisha or not. Fails to mention that Trisha brought up the topic in the first place by saying that everyone they meet wants to fuck them.

  • Says if they knew they were walking into a third h3h3 show, they wouldn't have done it.

  • Says over and over again its not about money... but it seems like it is.

  • Says its best for them to step down but is sad because thinks its a really fun show and should continue with someone else

Trisha has also posted two more videos after their initial one, as well as tweets apologizing but the crew is apparently very mad and it seems unlikely the podcast will actually continue this time

How Queer Characters Have Evolved In Children's Animation | Movies Insider

In 2018, Rebecca Sugar's "Steven Universe" featured both the first LGBTQ wedding and the first LGBTQ marriage proposal in a kids' animated TV show. And in 2020, Benson from "Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts" was the first kids' animated character to directly identify themselves as gay. These are groundbreaking achievements in LGBTQ representation, but it took a long time and a lot of hard work to get here. Here's a look back at how LGBTQ characters in kids' shows evolved from Hays Code-era stereotypes and queer-coded villains.

Chris Rock’s Set Policy: ‘I’ve Fired People Because They Couldn’t Listen to a Woman’

During an interview with Variety, Chris Rock told Nicole Kidman that he has fired people off his sets in the past for showing a refusal to listen to women. This conversation came up while they're talking about Lucille Ball (Nicole's upcoming role)

When Kidman said “it is still tricky” in Hollywood for women to navigate positions of power, Rock added, “It is still. I’ve fired people because they couldn’t listen to a woman. I was like, ‘How come he’s not doing …?’ And then I realize, ‘Oh.'”

He said that because he has a good relationship with his mother he’s never had an issue listening to women in a work setting. He added, “When I was starting out as a comedian, you know, Joy Behar and Susie Essman took me under their wing. I just always was around these powerful women. I mean, even in comedy, the clubs were run by women.”

Rock added, “Everybody talks about how stand-up is a boys’ club, but stand-up’s been run by a lot of women for a lot of years. Even right now, it’s Estee [Adoram] at the Comedy Cellar in New York. Lots of powerful women that called the shots.”
