-Olivia Rodrigo's "Drivers License" tops the Billboard Hot 100 and Global 100 for a 6th week.

-Taylor Swift's "Love Story"(Taylor's Version) re-enters the hot 100 at #11, the Global 200 at #7 and #1 on the Hot Country chart.

-24 Goldn and Iann Dior's song "Mood" has made history topping the adult pop, pop airplay. rap. and rock/ alternative charts."Mood" is #1 on the Rock/alternative chart. Billie Eilish's "Therefore I Am" and Taylor Swift's "Willow" Are #2 and # 3

-Lil Tjay ft 6lack's "Calling my phone" is #1 on the Hot R&B/ Hip Hop Songs charts. "Blinding Lights"and Cardi B's Üp"are #2 and #3. "Calling My Phone" is #2 on the Global 200 chart and # 3 on the Hot 100 in its first week.

Ruth E. Carter Makes History With a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame




While Carter has been in the industry for over 4 decades, you probably know her from her work and Oscar win for the costuming in Marvel's "Black Panther".

Costume designer Charlese Antoinette Jones (“Judas and the Black Messiah”) notes Carter’s historic Oscar in opened doors for her. “She opened a lot of doors for us. I’ve seen more people requesting Black designers this year — due to her win, [...]. Even me being considered [for awards] right now is due to her winning and laying this groundwork,”.

Of particular interest to me: In 1993, Carter’s brother, a software engineer, gave her an entire computer system (I guess they mean a desktop and software). She started using the technology for her designs, including for “What’s Love Got to Do With It,” the Tina Turner biopic.

- David Letterman wasn’t the only celeb to surprise Drew for her bday. Cameron Diaz, Steven Spielberg, Keith Morrison, Tom Green, Savannah Guthrie, Goop, Tyra Banks, Chelsea Handler, Jimmy Fallon and more also surprised Drew!
- Noticeable moments was when Spielberg (who does not make this kind of appearances) surprised her and she called him ‘the first person to care about her’ (Fuck her shitty parents). Steven also told a story about how he sent her a version of her playboy cover with clothes put on her.
- Cameron also dropped by and they had a funny moment about calling each other poopoo. 💩

-The 8th show in the Arrowverse premiered yesterday and it had decent ratings.

-While Walker still reigns supreme with a debut of 2.4 million viewers/.4 demo....Superman and Lois managed to reign in 1.71 million total viewers and a 0.4.

-This gave TheCW the highest ratings in the 8pm slot since Flash 5x12

Daniel Kaluuya Wasn't Invited to the Premiere of Get Out



The hot and talented Daniel Kaluuya recently revealed to Graham Norton that despite being the star of Get Out, he wasn't invited to the movie’s premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. Despite clearing his schedule for the premiere while filming Black Panther, the invite never came and he spent the night in bed.

"I was chilling, I cleared my schedule. I was like, ‘I really wanna do it.’ And then just didn’t get the invite. I wasn’t invited, so I was just in my bed—someone texted me, ‘It’s done really well.’ I don’t ask questions,” Kaluuya said. “You don’t wanna be in a place that you don’t feel wanted."

Animated Theatrical Film In The Works for 'Avatar: The Last Airbender'




Today in "That's great, but it's kind of beating a dead horse', news, The Avatar Franchise is getting another theatrical movie.


Don't worry, it's animated.

They are also making Avatar Studios, probably in an attempt to right what once went wrong after treating LoK like shit, and most of the new offerings will be on Paramount+

Yet, somehow, the live action one is still in the works at Netflix. Unless this isn't about the OG series.Then, okay, I'm fine with it.

The BRITs change eligibility rules after talks with Rina Sawayama


Recap of the issue:
-Back in July 2020, Rina brought attention to the fact that she is ineligible for the BRITs and the Mercury Prize, which require British citizenship.
-Sawayama has lived in the U.K. since she was 5 years old and has ILR status, which is basically a permanent residency.

Today she revealed that the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), the governing body responsible for the BRITs and Mercury Prize, has changed their rules after conversations with Sawayama.
-Those who have been a resident of the U.K. for 5+ years are now eligible.
