Mads Mikkelsen to replace Johnny Depp in ‘Fantastic Beasts’ franchise



Mads Mikkelsen is atop the list of actors being considered to replace Johnny Depp in the David Yates-directed Fantastic Beast 3, the third installment of the Harry Potter spinoff based on the JK Rowling fantasy franchise. Sources said he is Yates’ choice to play Grindelwald and he is in early talks.

In related news, THR reported that WB had to pay Depp his full 8-figure salary for the movie, even though he had shot one scene, because of a clause in his contract. There was no morality clause in his contract.

Cast of Apple's 'The Afterparty' Announced



Apple posted a cast list for its newest series The Afterparty, a whodunnit comedy from Chris Miller and Philip Lord for Apple TV+ about the afterparty of a high school reunion.

The cast list includes Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson, Zoë Chao, Ben Schwartz, Ike Barinholtz, Dave Franco, Jamie Demetriou, Ilana Glazer and John Early.

Sam smith on coming out as non binary

During an appearance on the Late Late Show this week, Sam opened up a about coming out as non binary/gender queer.

"I've always felt the way I felt, and being able to tell everyone that and feel so much more open about certain parts of my personality and my life has been absolutely incredible."

Sam also says that another positive of coming out is being able to express more freely through music. "I just feel permission, now, to show all different sides of myself musically," Sam said. "Whether it's dancing, or who I'm singing about, or what I'm singing about, I just feel like I can show all of myself now and put all of myself into my music. Before, I felt scared to show my femininity, I found that really scary. But now she's out."

Cazzie David finally opens up about her breakup with Pete Davidson in her new book


According to Cazzie after two years of dating she struggled convincing Pete that she "loved him" and wanted to break up with him previously but hesitated due to "previously, self-harm and suicide threats had come about from trivial circumstances".

She broke up with him first then immediately regretted it two days later to which Pete responded by saying he was "the happiest he'd ever been" and dumped her. The next day Pete was seen with Ariana Grande finally.

Cazzie was distraught by all the attention their breakup was getting now that he was with Ariana but described the moment as "a really pivotal moment in my life, and writing about it has caused me a ton of anxiety, especially because I talk so much about hating the attention it brought me. Why would I bring more attention to myself by writing about it? But there’s nothing that’s gonna be worse than what I already experienced with that".

Pete and Cazzie are still friends today.

Danai Gurira to Play Pioneering Presidential Candidate Shirley Chisholm in New Film



Danai Gurira will star in “The Fighting Shirley Chisholm,” portraying the political trailblazer’s historic 1972 presidential run.

Cherien Dabis will direct and Adam Countee will write the script. Stephanie Allain will produce through her Homegrown Pictures banner, with Gabrielle Ebron as an executive producer.

The movie is not a biopic, instead it will focus more on the campaign and how “the Chisholm Trail was populated by young people who sought social and political change during one of the most turbulent times in American history.” In the 1970’s, Chisholm made history as the first Black congresswoman.

Real Housewives of Atlanta Shuts Down Filming After Member of Production Tests Positive for COVID​



The Real Housewives of Atlanta has stopped filming after a member of the production team tested positive for Covid 19, People has confirmed.

"The set follows rigorous COVID-19 safety protocols including contract tracing," said a source close to the production. "Out of an abundance of caution, production is shutting down for two weeks.”

RHOA is currently filming season 13. The new season will feature returning Housewives Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore, Porsha Williams, and newcomer Drew Sidora.

The website, The Jasmine Brand, was the first to report the news of production being temporarily shut down.

Merry Britmas! The favorite retailer of all music fans, Urban Outfitters, is releasing a new Britney Spears track on vinyl as a part of their S11ngles Day 2020, featuring 11 singles by 11 different artists. The vinyl is currently set to ship on January 15th.

On the cover Britney can be seen breaking free from chains, which may or may not have a symbolic meaning given the latest conservatorship developments

The song is titled "Swimming in the Stars" and according to the cover art, it seems to be an unreleased song from Britney's 2016 Glory album sessions.

In a new court filing where Orianne Bates continues to ask for half of their Florida mansion.
Phil Collins' ex-wife claims he was impotent and didn't brush his teeth for over a year.

Orianne, 46, also claimed that in 2017, Phil, 69, began drinking heavily and using prescription pills and would often fall down from the combination of prescription medicines and excessive alcohol. On multiple occasions, he hit his head when he fell, and checked into hospitals under an alias...

He collapsed on stage when performing because he was so impaired he could not stand up. By 2019, she alleged he had become increasingly depressed, withdrawn, abusive and following an operation on his back, increasingly addicted to antidepressants and painkillers.

He was incapable of having sex. He stopped showering, brushing his teeth and dressing properly, he did not shower or brush his teeth from 2019 until August 2020 when he vacated [the property] his stench became so pervasive that he became a hermit, refusing to interact personally with any people. Orianne had no choice, but to distance herself from him.

Orianne alleged her former spouse was unable to record music and was emotionally and verbally abusive towards [her] and often ignored the needs of his children.

Phil's legal team have submitted a motion to strike, claiming Orianne's filing “contains a litany of demonstrably false, immaterial, impertinent, scandalous and scurrilous allegations which have nothing to do with the legal claims in this case. They are scandalous, scurrilous, unethical and, for the most part, patently false or grossly exaggerated. These false and scandalous allegations are again included only so that they can be delivered by defendants to the media to try to damage Phil Collins' reputation in an effort to extort money,"

Britney Spears loses court bid to remove father's control over estate, refuses to perform



A US court has rejected an attempt by Britney Spears, 38, to have her father removed as conservator of her estate for now, but the judge she would consider future appeals for his dismissal or outright removal.

Ms Spears' lawyer said the pop star was "afraid" of him, and that she would not perform so long as he remained in the role. He added that she and her father have no "viable working relationship" and have not spoken in a "long while".

However her father's lawyer says that he has always acted in the best interests of his daughter and argued that the reason they hadn't spoken because her lawyer advised her against it. Talking about his role as her consevator, the laywer said that when Jamie Spears assumed the role, Ms Spears was fighting tens of millions of dollars in lawsuits. But under his guidance, her business operation was now worth $60m (£45m).

In the meantime, at the request of Ms Spears, financial company Bessemer Trust has been appointed as a co-conservator.

The Outsider Cancelled at HBO, Being Shopped to Other Outlets

'HBO has made the decision to pass on making a second season of the horror-crime drama, which is based on the Stephen King novel of the same name. News of the effective cancelation comes around nine months after the show ended a successful 10-episode first season run. MRC, the studio behind “Outsider,” is set to shop season 2 around to other premium networks and streamers, according to sources.


The news may come as somewhat of a surprise given the show’s strong ratings performance for HBO. The finale, for instance, was watched by 2.2 million total viewers across all platforms, which represented a massive 1 million viewer boost from the premiere. That 83% gain was also the largest from a debut to a finale for any HBO series in its first season.'
