‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ is getting a TV series adaptation at Amazon

After a string of horror movies such as Scream, The Exorcist, The Purge, Ash vs. Evil Dead, Bates Motel and Chucky (premiere next year) getting a TV series adaptation, Hollywood has decided that cult classic "I Know What You Did Last Summer" will be the next one to make the move to the small screen, at Amazon Prime.

The TV has the same premise as the movie series is described as a modern take on the hit 1997 horror film. Like the film, the project is based on the 1973 novel of the same name by Lois Duncan.

"Dexter" is coming back, this time without the incest

Showtime has ordered a 10-episode Dexter limited series that will reunite star Michael C. Hall and original showrunner Clyde Phillips. The show will be a continuation of the original, eight-season series, which ended in 2013 with Hall's Dexter Morgan going on self-imposed exile as a lumberjack and living a solitary life. Production is scheduled to begin early next year for planned fall 2021 premiere.

Since Dexter's adoptive sister Debra died in the series finale of the original run, so 0% incest in the revival, yay!

Lily Collins Revealed Her Emily in Paris Character's Age--and Now We're Confused

In an interview with British Vogue, Lily Collins, 31, was asked how old her character Emily was and what was her level of professional experience. Lily revealed that she thinks Emily is a 20-something.

"I don't believe we've ever given her a specific 'number' for her age, but I believe that she's pretty fresh out of college," Collins said. "Maybe this is her first year after graduation. I want to say she's like, 22-ish."

"She's had enough experience at her company in Chicago," Collins continued, "to have earned the respect of her boss. She's a smart cookie and really innovative – and this is not her first rodeo doing what she does.”

Collins went on to say that Emily did internships in school but she doesn’t believe she ever travelled abroad during college.

The internet was confused and has been debating how old Emily would actually be.

3rd Times the Charm? Rose McGowan responds to Sarah Jeffery

-Just when you thought you were done with a daily Charmed post...here's another one! This time featuring Rose McGowans response to Charmed reboot Charmed One, Sarah Jeffery who called out Rose and Holly for being pathetic for putting down their show and WOC.

-Rose took to her IG story (now gone) to express her thoughts on the matter:
“Dear Sarah Jeffery, I honestly had no idea who you were til you tweeted, I have been too busy fighting monsters & fighting for a massive Cultural Reset to notice who’s in the reboot. Absolutely nothing to do with race, that’s quite a stretch you took. I’m beyond glad any WOC has a well paying job. Hell yes to that. I’m sure you are a great actress. My quibble (google it) is about execs & producers & @wb network trading on years of my work & name in such a cynical and obvious way – a money grab to cash in on the Charmed name. I do not care that they remade it, I have far bigger things I’m dealing with. I do not nor will I watch a show I disagree with on principle. There’s no soul or heart in something made purely for profit whilst refusing to elevate and innovate. Reboots will always be the shadow, the originals will always be the sun. I wish you well."

25 Movie Stars Who Deserved To Have Way Better Careers

- Brendan Fraser
"He should be doing action movies right now like Tom Cruise, but instead his career suffered because he was bold enough to raise his voice against Hollywood abusers. Later, he gained a little weight and people were brutal to him and made fun of him mercilessly. Audiences AND Hollywood executives are responsible for the state of his career."

- Hattie McDaniel
"She was equally great in comedies and dramas (despite almost always being cast as either a maid or a slave). In many cases, she was the most interesting person in the film or seemed to keep the film together. Even though she never received a role worthy of her talent, she still won an Academy Award for her role as 'Mammy' in Gone with the Wind. At the ceremony, she was forced to sit at a segregated table against the wall away from the other nominees."

- Annabella Sciorra
"She — plus Mira Sorvino, Rose McGowan, and others — had their careers purposely tanked by Harvey Weinstein. For many women in Hollywood, there were specific reasons their careers failed to materialize."

- Naveen Andrews
"He deserved an amazing career after Lost. He was super compelling on the show and a real breakout character."

- Tippi Hedren
"She refused sexual advances by Alfred Hitchcock and he made her life on the set of The Birds hell. He made her shoot a scene with real birds chained to her as they clawed at and attacked her. After refusing him for the last time, Hitchcock blackballed her in Hollywood and her career was severely affected. Add to this that no one listened to her story until after Hitchcock's death, and that she was a bright, beautiful, and insanely talented woman."

Who do you think deserve a better acting career??

Official trailer for Black high school prom documentary “Midnight in Paris”

An exuberant portrait of adolescence on the verge of adulthood, Midnight in Paris follows a small group of teenagers in Flint, Michigan, during the lead-up to their senior prom—an event that has transcended the typical black-tie affair and become a rare communal opportunity to celebrate the achievements of its youth. The film looks at the significance of the dance in the lives of Flint’s youth, the preparation and effort involved in participating, and the precarious juncture between expectation and reality. The students’ humor, style, and love, are seen in stark contrast to what the former automotive boom-town is more typically and tragically known for, beyond its city limits.

Available on demand from October 23-29 on NYC theater Metrograph's “Live Screenings” program. For more details, click here for more details.
