Brad Pitt's Team Backtracks on The Girlfriend PR Blitz

After Brad Pitt's team tried to sell his 56 year old ass with a 27 year old, still married model, it now seems they are backtracking following a less than glowing reception. It's just casual, guys! This is sure to come as a surprise to model Nicole Poturalski, who was noted to have followed several Brad/Nicole shipper Instagrams before unfollowing after getting caught.

A source told US Weekly, “It’s currently a go-with-the-flow situation, and Nicole’s not running around yelling about her love for Brad from the rooftops.” The source added that since Nicole is in Los Angeles a lot for work, that's where the bulk of her dates with Brad have been.

Both are apparently dedicated parents who fit in dating and other social engagements around their kids’ schedules, and Brad loves Nicole's kind and "carefree" attitude following his split from Angelina Jolie. Presumably this was also the qualities that drew Brad to put out PR stories about him romancing Charlize Theron, Jennifer Aniston and Neri Oxman.

Despite a source previously saying that Brad and Nicole are "totally" falling for each other, a source has now claimed Brad doesn’t want a girlfriend that he’s with every day.

The actor revealed while appearing on a “Night at the Museum” reunion that he tried LSD for the first and last time outside the museum.

About his trip, he says he remembers being afraid and paranoid. He remembers staring at his hand "pondering what my hand was." Then he realized he had not only no idea where he was, but what reality was to begin with.

Also detailed that acid trip in the Netflix documentary “Have a Good Trip: Adventures in Psychedelics,” in which he explained that passing by the balloons being blown up for the Thanksgiving Day Parade was a freaky experience.

Disney CFO Admits Filming ‘Mulan’ in Xinjiang Has ‘Generated A Lot of Issues’

Disney CFO Christine McCarthy has acknowledged that the company’s choice to shoot parts of “Mulan” in China’s Xinjiang region - a region where a reported number of concentration camps holding the Uyghur people are situated, as part of an effort to forcibly assimilate them with China’s majority Han population - has "generated a lot of issues for us".

She also said that, “It’s common to acknowledge in a film’s credits the national and local governments that allowed you to film there.” Here, she was referring to Disney thanking eight different Chinese government entities in Xinjiang in the film's credits, some of which are involved with overseeing the camps.

She defended the movie by saying that much of the film was shot in New Zealand, but crews also filmed at 20 locations in China to show “some of the unique landscapes” there.

When asked whether the global backlash would be bad for business, McCarthy replied, “I’m not a box office predictor.”

In other, related news, China has now barred media coverage of Mulan following the backlash.

We're having a Netflix Party with the Chrome browser extension Netflix Party, which allows users to share a movie watching experience together....from a safe social distance.

Childhood friends Julianne Potter (Julia Roberts) and Michael O'Neal (Dermot Mulroney) had a deal to marry each other if they were still single by age 28. Now, four days before her 28th birthday, O'Neil announces that he's marrying a gorgeous 20-year-old named Kimberly (Cameron Diaz). Suddenly realizing that she's actually in love with him, Julianne vows to stop the wedding at all costs. However, when she is appointed maid of honor, things get even more complex.

Dear ONTD, so I had thought Twilight was available to watch on Amazon Prime Video with you guys for a Watch Party. What I thought I’d seen as “available with Prime”, when I clicked on it to stream, it actually says “included with your IMDB TV Channel - watch with ads” & is unavailable for stream over their Watch Party feature. UGH

So.....I am so sorry to get everyone’s hopes up last week. I was so looking forward to watching this lovably dumb teen vampire angst movie with you all. You have no idea. Hopefully it’ll be available on Netflix or Amazon Prime one day.

So tonight we’re gonna make a hard pivot away from Amazon Prime back to Netflix to watch the 1997 Rom-Com classic (citation needed?)My Best Friend’s Wedding (which I recently re-listened to the WHM ep for & omg Julia Robert’s character is a sociopath, as well as the main guy).

After setting up, click HERE to join the party!

Please stand by for the updated link around 9:45 PM ET, it’s blank for now pending post approval. LINK IS NOW LIVE!

Thanks MODS for everything you do, but ESPECIALLYhjalmartazar, for being so supportive & helpful with these post uploads every week!

What have you guys been watching this week? Also, are you crème brûlée....or are you Jell-o?

Conor McGregor arrested for alleged attempted sexual assault in Corsica

Retired mixed martial artist and boxer Conor McGregor was arrested for alleged attempted sexual assault and indecent exposure in Corsica today, according to multiple reports.

The arrest came as McGregor was preparing to travel to Monaco, and was made after a complaint was filed with local police on Thursday, September 10. McGregor, who was released from custody following an interview with police, has vigorously denied the accusations through a representative.

This is not McGregor's first run-in with the law. In March 2019, the New York Times reported that the 32-year-old was under investigation over an accusation of sexual assault in his native Ireland; that August, he pleaded guilty to and paid a fine for assaulting a Dublin pub patron.

Jeremy Tardy Exits ‘Dear White People,’ Alleging Discrimination; Lionsgate Denies Claim

Jeremy Tardy, a recurring actor on the Lionsgate-produced Netflix series “Dear White People,” announced on Twitter that he would not be returning to the show, and alleged that the studio discriminated against him during pay negotiations.

Lionsgate has denied the claims, calling it “a purely financial matter.”

Tardy, played the character of Rashid Bakr across 11 episodes, said that his team had brought up the issue to Lionsgate, alleging that the studio allowed a white actor to negotiate while remaining firm on its offer to Tardy. He said that he and six recurring cast members then collectively passed on Lionsgate’s initial offers “to stand on principle because this is not simply a monetary matter.”

Tardy went on to say that the group was “undermined with side deal offers and lack of transparency,” and that those tactics led to certain actors “taking deals before the collective group received a fair and equitable negotiation process.”

Netflix referred all inquiries on the matter to Lionsgate.

C. Thomas Howell Tells Some of His Best Hollywood Stories

In an interview with toofab, C. Thomas Howell revealed a few behind-the-scenes tales for Hollywood-lore junkies.

Meeting Tom Cruise on "The Outsiders":

"Tom was the guy that like, so after the rumble, he shows up the next day and he went to the dentist and had a tooth removed. "He had like a cap on the front of his tooth. He had it removed and he shows up and he shows Francis [Ford Coppola] and he's like 'Whaddya think?'" He didn't have his tooth, man!"

"Tom took it to another level," he continued with a laugh. "We were like, 'Dude, your part is tiny. What are you doing here, man?'

"And then toward the end of the production, Tom was like, 'I'm going to go to Chicago and do this thing called 'Risky Business,'" he continued. "We're like, 'Well, go have a good time with whatever the hell that is.' And it was like six months later -- we're all sliding in our socks and our tighty-whities singing Bob Seger, you know? We couldn't believe it."

"And he is super business-minded. He is extremely calculative and he knows what's going on with everybody on the set. And he doesn't put up with shenanigans."

The actor added with a laugh, "And if you're not there to benefit the group, you're politely going to be tapped on the shoulder and probably not be coming back tomorrow, but in a nice way."

"That's just who he is. That's how he needs to operate. And I would love to work with him again."
