Awards season is "utterly meaningless" and "devoid of artistic creation" says Bradley Cooper

- While having a discussion for Interview Magazine with “A Star is Born”, “Hamilton” and “In the Heights” actor Anthony Ramos about their careers, Coopers states this about awards season:

“That awards season stuff is a real test. It’s set up to foster that mentality. It’s quite a thing to work through, and it’s completely devoid of artistic creation. It’s not why you sacrifice everything to create art, and yet you spend so much time being a part of it if you’re, in quotes, “lucky enough to be a part of it.” It’s ultimately a great thing because it really does make you face ego, vanity, and insecurity. It’s very interesting and utterly meaningless.”

- Cooper has said in the past that after he didn’t get an Oscar nomination for Best Director for “A Star is Born” he said he felt like he was tricked into “thinking the snub meant he did not do his job on the movie” and the insight left him “embarrassed” and demonstrated to him that “even if I got the nomination, it should not give me any sense of whether I did my job or not. That’s the trick, to make something that you believe in.”

- Bradley has three Oscar nominations for Best Actor (“Silver Linings Playbook,” “American Sniper,” and “A Star Is Born”) and one supporting (“American Hustle”). He’s also has been Oscar nominations as a producer (“American Sniper,” “A Star Is Born,” and “Joker”) and a Best Adapted Screenplay nomination as co-writer for “A Star Is Born”.

I Accidentally Became A Meme: Kombucha Girl

When Brittany Broski tried kombucha for the first time, she had no idea it would launch her into fame and fortune. Find out the insane way it went down!

Was 22 and originally from Dallas, Texas working at a bank in trust and investment services.

She originally started her TikTok account as a joke.

On a trip to the grocery store she saw kombucha on the shelf and bought it to give it a try for the first time. Says her reaction was 100% real and genuine.

Gay Twitter took the video and captioned it “when you first eat ass.” Other similar captions would follow.

Was mortified since she worked at a bank and DM’ed that person on Twitter in hopes that they would take it down. They instead tagged her.

Gained 96,000 Twitter followers in one day.

Had to explain to her boss that she became a meme, but that she had nothing to do with the explicit captions.

Her boss made her choose between being a meme or a corporate professional. She told her boss TikTok was just a hobby and that she wanted to stay at her position at the bank.

She was eventually let go and fired.

She now has a team of people around her, flew to LA, worked with Comedy Central, MTV and several brands. She was also included in a SuperBowl commercial.

Her ultimate goal is to become a voice actress and voice someone in a Pixar / Disney film.

ONTD, would you want to become a meme if it lead to other big opportunities?

Zac Efron Still in Australia, Spotted with Rumored Girlfriend

Zac Efron is still isolating in Australia, and on Saturday he was spotted at a beachside cafe in Lennox Head with rumored girlfriend Vanessa Valladares.

The pair reportedly met in July while Vanessa worked in a restaurant Zac frequented. She has since quit her job and is said to be staying with Zac at Belongil Beach. They recently returned from a ski holiday in Thredbo (in photos obtained by The Herald Sun, the pair were spotted leaving a plane in Ballina together following the trip).

According to the Telegraph, Zac's reluctant to return permanently to America. His request to have his tourist visa extended from three months to 12 months was granted, and he's begun looking for homes in Byron Bay.

Warner Bros. is accusing Ray Fisher of not cooperating with a misconduct investigation

Fisher is accusing Joss Whedon/Jon Berg/Geoff Johns of unspecified misconduct on the Justice League set

WB started an internal investigation but says that "to date, Mr. Fisher has declined to speak to the investigator."

On Monday, Fisher tweeted: So you can better understand how deep this goes: After speaking out about Justice League, I received a phone call from the President of DC Films [Walter Hamada] wherein he attempted to throw Joss Whedon and Jon Berg under the bus in hopes that I would relent on Geoff Johns. I will not. A>E

WB: "At no time did Mr. Hamada ever 'throw anyone under the bus,' as Mr. Fisher has falsely claimed, or render any judgments about the Justice League production, in which Mr. Hamada had no involvement since filming occurred before Mr. Hamada was elevated to his current position."

[edit: full statment from Warner Bros.] In July, Ray Fisher’s representatives asked DC Films President Walter Hamada to talk to Mr. Fisher about his concerns during the production of “Justice League.” The two had previously spoken when Mr. Hamada asked him to reprise his role as Cyborg in Warner Bros.’ upcoming Flash movie, together with other members of the Justice League. In their July conversation, Mr. Fisher recounted disagreements he’d had with the film’s creative team regarding his portrayal of Cyborg, and complained that his suggested script revisions were not adopted. Mr. Hamada explained that creative differences are a normal part of the production process, and that a film’s writer/director ultimately has to be in charge of these matters. Notably, Mr. Hamada also told Mr. Fisher that he would elevate his concerns to WarnerMedia so they could conduct an investigation. At no time did Mr. Hamada ever “throw anyone under the bus,” as Mr. Fisher has falsely claimed, or render any judgments about the “Justice League” production, in which Mr. Hamada had no involvement, since filming occurred before Mr. Hamada was elevated to his current position.

While Mr. Fisher never alleged any actionable misconduct against him, WarnerMedia nonetheless initiated an investigation into the concerns he’d raised about his character’s portrayal. Still not satisfied, Mr. Fisher insisted that WarnerMedia hire an independent third party investigator. This investigator has attempted multiple times to meet with Mr. Fisher to discuss his concerns but, to date, Mr. Fisher has declined to speak to the investigator. Warner Bros. remains committed to accountability and to the well-being of every cast and crew member on each of its productions. It also remains committed to investigating any specific and credible allegation of misconduct, which thus far Mr. Fisher has failed to provide.

First Look: David Fincher's MANK

Netflix has released first look photos for David Fincher's MANK, his first film since 2014's Gone Girl. The film is written by David's late-father Jack.

The film centers on Herman J Mankiewicz's life as he wrote Citizen Kane for Orsen Welles and the drama surrounding Herman being properly credited for his work.

The film stars: Gary Oldman as Herman J. Mankiewicz, Amanda Seyfried as Marion Davies, Lily Collins as Rita Alexander, Arliss Howard as Louis B. Mayer, Tom Pelphrey as Joe Mankiewicz, Sam Troughton as John Houseman, Ferdinand Kinsley as Irving Thalberg, Tuppence Middleton as Sara Mankiewicz, Tom Burke as Orson Welles, Joseph Cross as Charles Lederer, Jamie McShane as Shelly Metcalf, Toby Leonard Moore as David O. Selznick, Monika Grossman as Fraulein Freda, and Charles Dance as William Randolph Hearst.

The film will be entirely in black and white, with Fincher's Manhunter cinematographer Erik Messerschmidt. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross will once again provide the score, this time using 30s-era instruments.

While Netflix did not provide a release date, producer Eric Roth stated earlier this summer it was set for October (but that was said before the Oscar delay and Netflix's Chicago 7 purchase, so it may no longer be the case).

ONTD Original: Musical Substitutions for Doja Cat's 6 Best Songs

I'm Dr. Blorpz, ONTD's resident unlicensed and uncertified aural dietician. I'm hearing a lot of commenters say that they want to cut back on their Doja Cat intake but are having a difficult time doing so. So I'm here to recommend some simple, guilt-free substitutions for Doja Cat's 6 best songs.

Now, let's get into it.

Song 1 - "Boss Bitch"
Musical Nutrition Value: This song makes you feel like a true baddie, like you're Bowsette in the gay club ready to break Mario's heart. And if you're a bitch and a boss, it can really help get the point across.

Substitution: Shamir - "On the Regular"
Shamir is here, he's queer, and he makes it clear he's not one to be messed with. Don't try him! Plus, it's got a similar noise in the beginning of the song (cowbell?). We may have to send that one to the lab to confirm.

These Celebrities Have Been Married Three Or More Times

So, there are four types of people in the world

1. The ones who had a K-pop phase, those who may have had their ringtones set to "Gee," and purposely let their phone go off in class so that everyone knew just how cool they were... and now cringe every time they think about it.

2. Those who are currently in their K-pop phases, and can tell you the difference between lead and main singers and dancers. Visuals. Sub-vocalists. Those who can recommend you some cool songs from outside the Big 3, or the Big 4 (SM, JYP, YG, BIGHIT) now

3. Those who make their entire lives about Kpop stanning, which is not healthy in the slightes, so, let's avoid talking about that

4. And those who don't know it yet, but will inevitably find themselves casually enjoying a K-pop track whether they want to or not. It just happens

I am both #1 and #4, and that cringey memory I just had about my phone ringing in 11th grade biology class has inspired me to share 10 of my favourite KPOP BOPS that I still dig no matter what stage I'm in

"Boy With Luv" — BTS feat. Halsey (2019)
Yes, the first track is from BTS. "Boy With Luv" is the perfect bubblegum banger, idc. It eclipses "Dynamite" 10x over, and the sheer unadulterated joy I feel when this comes on shuffle is almost embarassing. Almost

Val's father, Armand (Robin Williams), a gay Miami drag club owner, pretends to be straight and attempts to hide his relationship with Albert (Nathan Lane), his life partner and the club's flamboyant star attraction, so as to please Barbara's father, controversial Republican Sen. All The Ways Disney's Live-Action 'Mulan' Is Different From The Animated Movie

Disney's live-action reimagining of "Mulan," directed by Niki Caro and starring Yifei Liu, made many changes to characters and story from the 1998 animated classic. Instead of Shan Yu, Mulan faces off against Böri Khan and a new shape-shifting villain named Xianniang. Meanwhile, Mulan's anthropomorphic sidekicks Mushu and Cri-Kee are replaced with two new characters in the live-action film. Other characters, like Li Shang, were split up into two separate characters. And while classic songs from "I'll Make a Man Out of You" are absent here, there are still references to them throughout. Many of the changes help bring Mulan closer to the ancient Chinese poem "The Ballad of Mulan."
