Based on Comey’s No. 1 New York Times bestselling book A Higher Loyalty and more than a year of additional interviews with a number of key principals, THE COMEY RULE is an immersive, behind-the-headlines account of the historically turbulent events surrounding the 2016 presidential election and its aftermath, which divided a nation. THE COMEY RULE is not a biopic of one man, but is instead the story of two powerful figures, Comey and Trump, whose strikingly different personalities, ethics and loyalties put them on a collision course. Starring Jeff Daniels and Brendan Gleeson. Watch the premiere on September 27 on SHOWTIME.
If 8 vinyl editions of the surprise Taylor Swift album, Folklore, wasn't enough for you, how about 7 single editions of the lead single Cardigan!! Overnight, Swift released 3 new single editions (CD single, 7" vinyl, 12" vinyl) of the "Cabin in Candlelight" remix of Cardigan, which was also released digitally. The remix features the same vocal track with a slightly altered instrumental. Prior to this remix, Swift released 4 single versions (CD single, 7" vinyl, 12" vinyl and picture disc vinyl) of album version of Cardigan. All 7 editions of the physical singles, some of which don't ship until late November, include digital downloads. All versions disappear when the charting week ends tonight at Midnight EST.
Taylor was predicted to debut at #2 before this remix was released.
Of course, Billboard recently changed the rules that will eventually make these types of releases inelligble chart recognition, since they aren't being shipped during the sales week. The new rules come into effect over the next few months.

In a bombshell interview with “Behind The Velvet Rope with David Yontef”, former RHOBH star Cedric Martinez (The permanent houseguest) revealed some secrets about Lisa Vanderpump.
Cedric said, “Okay, I’m going to be a hundred percent honest. I do not know if Lisa had any affairs, like physical, full-on, ugh ugh, affairs. But, I know, that she had a thing with a captain because she told me, you know, and, also, Ken got really jealous of this captain before this whole thing, and I will always remember Lisa tell me “Ugh, Andre,” that’s the name of the captain, you know, “he kissed me as I want to be. he kissed me with such passion and things and I haven’t felt in years.” And, i’m like, “Oh my god, girl, you need to get out more. But, so, for facts, this is all I know about Lisa. So, I don’t know if she’s had full on actual affairs, and I’m not going to stand here to say that she did because that would be a complete lie on my part, but I know that she had a snog or two with the captain. Fuck, I would have done it too. He was hot. I mean, I dare anyone to say no to that captain. He was just like Eastern European. Just muscles everywhere and just like you know that kind of like Liam Neeson kind of look with the nose like that and just like with hands like this. “I think I might be drowning tonight.”

Emmy 2020: Black nominees gain ground, Latino representation still abysmal https://t.co/0auz8GPUA1— Los Angeles Times (@latimes) July 29, 2020
- After the Emmy nominations were announced, the Los Angeles Times ran an article about the racial, ethnic and gender diversity of the nominations, or lack thereof.
- John Leguizamo tweeted a screenshot of the article to voice his frustration at Latinos' continued lack of representation.
- He received support from some Latinos in the industry, such as OITNB's Dascha Polanco. Others, including Pose's Indya Moore, were more critical.
- Leguizamo's tweet lead to general backlash from black non-Latinos who are tired of other ethnic groups acting as though black people's hypervisibility is the cause of their lack of representation and from Afro-Latinos who are tired of being excluded from conversations about Latinos.
- Many people pointed out that Jharrel Jerome won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series for "When They See Us," making history by becoming the first Afro-Latino and Dominican to win an acting Emmy.

I agree that Latino representation is lacking, but there's been an ongoing trend of people deciding it's time to ask where's theirs whenever black entertainers receive accolades or a black project is successful instead of pointing the finger where it belongs (e.g., Gina "Where Are the Latino Superheroes" Rodriguez after Black Panther).
Giving John Leguizamo the benefit of the doubt, maybe he wasn't doing that, but it's not a stretch and it's still part of a problem of not acknowledging Afro-Latinos.

Ellen DeGeneres Sends Emotional Apology to Staff; EP Ed Glavin Expected to Depart https://t.co/D0UTDrKOKH— Variety (@Variety) July 30, 2020
Wb released a statement after their investigation, “Though not all of the allegations were corroborated, we are disappointed that the primary findings of the investigation indicated some deficiencies related to the show’s day-to-day management,” the statement said. “We have identified several staffing changes, along with appropriate measures to address the issues that have been raised, and are taking the first steps to implement them. Warner Bros. and Ellen DeGeneres are all committed to ensuring a workplace based on respect and inclusion. We are confident this course of action will lead us to the right way forward for the show.”
Of course to save face Ellen apologizes saying, “As we’ve grown exponentially, I’ve not been able to stay on top of everything and relied on others to do their jobs as they knew I’d want them done. Clearly some didn’t,” she wrote. “That will now change and I’m committed to ensuring this does not happen again.”
Although all the allegations were on Ellen and her toxic behavior, Executive Producer Ed Glavin was used as the scapegoat and fired.

Another 10-task challenge. You obviously don’t need to do all 10 tasks, choose as many as you want, but I figured it gives you some variety and allows you to pick and choose movies that fit your taste but also maybe lead you to watch something you wouldn’t normally seek out. For each task, you can pick whatever movie fits within the guidelines, I've added links to help you out. I tried to add tasks that would allow you to get movies on Netflix, Amazon Prime, and/or Hulu – but there’s also Kanopy and Hoopla (both of which you can get free access through your library or university). Have a different movie for each task – that is, don’t have the same movie for task 2 and task 6.

Six-time Oscar nominee Amy Adams (Arrival, Big Eyes) is set to team up with Annapurna Pictures for her next vehicle Nightbitch, an adaptation of Rachel Yoder's upcoming novel. The novel is set to be published in 2021 by Doubleday.
The plot of the book will center on an unnamed woman and former artist, who, after the birth of her son, is thrust into stay-at-home domesticity. Her husband, who travels for work five nights a week, dismisses her fear of hotel rooms. At home without her husband, the mother is forced to contend with the physical manifestations of her solitary anxiety with only her two-year-old son with her. After an impulsive and disastrous encounter with the family cat, the unnamed woman seeks a cure for her condition in an herbal marketing scheme led by a group of moms all named Jen and and another woman named Wanda White, an academic who claims to specialize in 'mythical ethnography.'
There is no word yet on when production will begin for the film. Adams' next films to be released are Ron Howard's Hillbilly Elegy and Joe Wright's The Woman in the Window.

Former rapper Tyga is shifting his career focus to entrepreneur and joining the highly competitive market of chicken tenders by launching: Tyga Bites® — a virtual dining concept that specializes in bite-sized baked chicken nuggets.
Tyga’s online menu offers chicken bites with three different spice dusts — “all curated by Tyga” — including black garlic, lemon black pepper and peri-peri, a mix of tangy, sweet and spicy, the press release noted.
The boneless bites will also be served with the option of 12 different dips, bite-sized chocolate chip cookies, regular or sweet potato Tyga Tots®, and several beverage options.
“I wanted to make sure the whole menu, flavors, and even the packaging was on point,” Tyga said in the official press release. “The bites are baked just right; choose a dip then take a sip! I even threw in some chocolate chip cookies for dessert.” How thoughtful.
Kylie Jenner’s former groomer boyfriend partnered with restauranteur Robert Earl and celebrity chef Eric Greenspan to create the “antibiotic-free, oven-baked, boneless chicken bites,” which will only be available through GrubHub.
Tyga Bites® are now available in more than 30 major markets across the US, including New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Washington D.C., Chicago, and more with more locations expected soon. GrubHub is offering free delivery on orders of $15 or more throughout August to new and existing customers.

Taylor Swift fans doxxed a Pitchfork reviewer because she gave her latest album... an 8.0 out of 10.https://t.co/eXbyyrvacT— Ben Collins (@oneunderscore__) July 30, 2020
Taylor Swift's rabid stans have struck again! This time they've targeted Pitchfork's Jillian Mapes who reviewed Swift's new album, folklore. The album was granted an 8.0/10 score, practically a rave review for the often persnickety publication, but Swift stans were immediately outraged that the score and review were not nearly positive enough. Within an hour of the review being posted, Mapes began receiving countless phone calls from outraged Swifties and death threats, including viral tweets discussing the burning of her home. Mapes' phone numbers and home address were posted on Twitter alongside personal photos of both Mapes and her home. Nearly a week later and Swift has not bothered to admonish her stans for doxxing and threatening Mapes, among other deplorable behavior.

This is my favorite Glee performance of them all. They absolutely deserved to win Nationals for this and it's genuinely MILES ahead of their season 2 Nationals performance. This is one of the few songs where we actually got to see the entire song being sung. Some people theorize that it's because this was the 400th musical number in the show, but I personally think they just couldn't cut anything out because it's all so good. The vocals, choreography, everything is on point. Even Lea's oversinging works well here. I've always been surprised that this isn't a more popular cover. Meat Loaf WHO? I don't know her.

In an article for Variety magazine titled "Inside Netflix’s Quest to Become a Global TV Giant". Netflix CEO seemingly takes credit for Parasite's success at the Oscars. The film was nominated for 6 Oscars and won four, including Best Picture, the first non-English film.
"I think ‘Roma’ had a lot to do with that for ‘Parasite’ this year,” says Sarandos. “I think the idea that a foreign-language film [Roma] had 10 Oscar nominations and won three, and the crossover awards categories for foreign-language film, I think really opened the door for ‘Parasite’ to be as successful as it was.”
He also believes Bong Joon Ho’s film “Okja,” released on Netflix three years earlier, also made audiences more receptive to Korean content.
