- Billionaire/Former chief executive of the Formula One Group Bernie Ecclestone and wife younger wife Fabiana Flosi welcome son Ace Ecclestone. The couple have been married since 2012.

- Ace was born Wednesday afternoon at a hospital in Switzerland

- Flosi said about the birth: "It was all so easy. The birth was over after 25 minutes. Thank god!"

- This is the fourth child for Bernie who has 3 daughters: Deborah (65), Tamara (36) and Petra (31)

- Before the birth of his son, Bernie was in the news last month by saying "In lots of cases, Black people are more racist than White people"

Royal Mess: Meghan, Duchess of Sussex felt "unprotected" by royals



The Duchess of Sussex felt “unprotected by the institution” of the monarchy during “false” media reports that emerged when she was pregnant, court documents suggest. She was "prohibited from defending herself" in the British press, she claims. Meghan said she was under extreme mental and emotional duress while pregnant because Palace staff, members of the royal household & their friends were allowed to give anonymous quotes to the press about Meghan, but she & those close to her were not allowed to comment.



However, it's been suggested that Palace press team ‘couldn’t defend Meghan against true stories,’ according to "insiders." Her anger allegedly grew over the Palace not defending her from attacks by her family on her father's side, especially her mouthy sister. Sources say that the press team were unable to deny the reports because they were largely true and “the stories were a drop in the ocean compared to what was going on” at the time.

Although a judge at a hearing earlier this year threw out Markle’s claim that she was the victim of a malicious press campaign, “aides say that the Duchess is relieved that the true extent of what she believes she has suffered at the hands of the British press is now being revealed.”

In less serious news, Meghan also claimed her wedding raised £1billion in tourist revenue and that this “far outweighed” the contribution of taxpayers' money towards crowd security. However, royal experts have branded this as "unrealistic" and the real amount would have been about $300 million and a huge boost to Meghan's brand.

Who Was Strong and Who Was Set Free in the True North? It's Canada's Drag Race Premiere!!



That's right! The premiere episode of Canada's Drag Race has arrived, fresh as an Alberta Wild Rose from our 'homo and native land!' It's the first English-language Drag Race franchise without Ru at the helm.

Hosting and judging duties were shared between Brooke Lynn Hytes, Jeffrey Bowyer Chapman, and Stacy McKenzie, a veritable CanCon trio who let the puns pour out like maple syrup!

So, what were the Rocky Mountain Highlights?

So, what did my fellow Canadiens think? They need a bit of time to grow into it and the judging was a little harsh overall, but it's a solid start. Appreciate that the references aren't just surface level Mounties and maple syrup, but things that are super Canadian that only Canadians would know, like MuchMusic Dance Parties and next week's Canadian Her-itage Minute challenge! Interesting that CDR burst out the gate with a stronger lip sync than any of the ones in the entirety of DRUK S1. Little surprised that Tynomi was so in the background for such a legendary Toronto queen and Kyne shocked me with that attitude. Love the Two-Spirit representation Ilona is bringing! And who else adores Jimbo?

Updated survey: Majority of Americans unlikely to return to movie theaters in 2020

As coronavirus surges across the country with no drop in sight, updated numbers from THR and Morning Consult's theater attending survey show awful numbers for movie theaters as they are currently set to reopen at the end of the month:

15% say they will go back within a week of reopening, 18% within two weeks, and 26% within a month. But the real alarming numbers: 55% say they are unlikely to return at any time the rest of the year, with 37% saying "very unlikely."

This comes after a report from Deadline that movie studios are getting increasingly more nervous about their August and September release calendars and will be reviewing them next week. Maybe this time they'll rework their entire schedules and not just push back films every two weeks and hope for the best.

The “Little Mermaid” statue branded with “racist fish” overnight

On Friday the statue of the “Little Mermaid” in Denmark was vandalized with the words “racist fish” across its base. The bronze statue honors Hans Christian Andersen’s famous fairy tale and perches on a rock in the sea off a pier in Copenhagen. No perpetrators have been identified.

The 107-year-old sculpture is visited by 1 million tourists each year. “I am having a hard time seeing what is particularly racist in the fairy tale ‘The Little Mermaid,’” Ane Grum-Schwensen, a researcher at the H.C. Andersen Center at University of Southern Denmark, told local news.

The fairy tale has been on the news lately since last year, Disney announced it is working on a live action remake of the 1989 classic, animated film.

Kim Kardashian is NOT a billionaire, says Forbes



Forbes is clarifying that Kim Kardashian-West is actually NOT a billionaire, despite her husband Kanye announcing she became one.

The publication says Kim "is worth $900 million after agreeing to sell a stake in her cosmetics firm to Coty", but not a billionaire just yet.

Kim's sister, Kylie, had also been named a 'self-made billionaire' by Forbes, until they stripped her of the title in May, accusing her of 'inflated business figures and forging tax returns'.

Jodie Comer quits social media after seeking out negative comments



Jodie Comer has opened up about the reason why she deactivated her Twitter account earlier this year, and hasn't been on Instagram for months. She's guilty of seeking out negative comments about herself and her performances, and as a result has taken herself off the platforms all together.

"Until I get some self-control and manage not to go and seek out negative things on social media, I think it's best for me to take a little step back. Also now, in this time, I am trying to be a little bit conscious of what I use it for. It feels a bit wrong to me to be doing any sort of self-promotion at the moment, so I'm trying to be a little bit wary of that, while also being communicative and speaking to people."

Laura Bailey who plays a character in the recent 'Last of Us Part II' has been getting death threats on social media as well as threats to kill her kids. This is in part because the character is very controversial for spoilerific reasons (google it if you want to know why).

Many have noted that she is the latest in a long line of actresses to receive abuse online because of the characters they play.
Others involved with the game/franchise have offered their support. (This is all just happening so I will try to update if more respond.)

'Strahan, Sara and Keke' canceled by ABC



ABC has cancelled their daytime talkshow "Strahan, Sara and Keke" hosted by Michael Strahan, Sara Haines and Keke Palmer. The show has been off air since March and was replaced by a COVID-19 update show.
The show came into existence as a spinoff a Good Morning America after ABC cancelled cooking-themed talk show "The Chew" in July 2018. The show was originally hosted by Michael Strahan, Sara Haines. Keke Palmer joined the show as guest host in summer 2019 during Sara Haines' maternity leave and was announced as a permanent host a in August alongside Strahan and Haines.

Rumours have swirled in recent weeks that actor Zac Efron has settled in Byron Bay, NSW, Australia

But that’s all they were – rumours, with occasional eyewitness reports from locals and tourists who insisted they’d spotted Efron in the trendy beachside town.

Now, finally, proof: Efron was snapped hanging out at the iconic Byron Bay general store cafe this week, where he was with local woman identified as Vanessa Valladares.

Kacey Musgraves is getting divorced



Kacey and her soon to be ex-husband have ended their nearly-3 year long marriage.

They believed they were put into each other's lives for 'divine' reasons and have an irreversible 'soul connection', but it wasn't working anymore.

Kacey is still due be featured on Ruston's new album coming out next month, as is her father and sister.
