The movie is being developed and produced by Erik Feig under his Picturestart studios launched in 2019 in collaboration with Scholastic publishing. Feig is the former president of Lion's Gate and Summit Pictures, famous for that mid-2010s run of successful YA adaptations and star-creating vehicles like Twilight, Hunger Games, and Divergent.
Scholastic is also developing a series of graphic novel adaptations of the series, the first of which will be released October 6th, and a Retro Box Tin of the first six books in the series some time in the fall.
I am going to be excited about this before I inevitably collapse into dread once they start announcing directors and releasing promotional shots!!!!
- For the past two months, seven, lesser-known K-pop boy groups have been competing in a preliminary show called "Road to Kingdom" for a shot at performing on the main show "Kingdom" (a companion to last year's girl group competition show "Queendom"
- Five surviving groups performed their new singles on the live finale, which - true to MNet fashion - was beleaguered with confusing voting guidelines, inexplicable delays, and the live voting app crashing and remaining inaccessible to many frustrated viewers (I tried to vote and could not get into the app for the entire 60-minute voting window)

Vocalists from each of the five groups also teamed up for a special performance for the fans:

But onto the main event...

And just in case you thought you'd be free of MNet's clutches... they already posted a teaser that "Kingdom" will be "coming soon":

Beethoven was black? No wonder his music was so on point. pic.twitter.com/Wo8qqvApri— The Academy Music Business (@BenjaminEnfield) June 18, 2020
It is believed that Ludwig van Beethoven was of African descent. His black features were downplayed to give him a more Eurocentric look. Historians have always debated the topic of his ethnicity.

Former RHOC Star Tamra Judge is not a fan of Kelly Dodd. "I've followed some of the stuff that just happened recently and her comments on COVID are just so insensitive and even if she did think that, you shouldn't publicly say that because there are a lot of people who are missing their father and their grandfather and their uncle and their aunts and their mother because they've passed from it," she told the “Behind The Velvet Rope” host David Yontef. "It's such an insensitive thing to say, especially with Andy [Cohen] having coronavirus, you'd think you'd be a little smarter than that."
"And I can't imagine that Bravo is very happy about it at all and I'm sure Rebecca from the PR company and Bravo made her [put out an apology]. She didn't do that on her own. It's mind-blowing to me, but like I said, she's the only housewife in the history that I've known who was edited better than she actually is. They make her look better than she is. And I feel like she's a huge liability to the network."
- Yesterday Depp's legal team leaked to the DailyMail that Amber Heard had a "three way affair" with Elon Musk and Cara Delevingne... after they had filed for divorce (so like if true who cares). Their proof? A guy who heard it from someone and didn't know dates and an elevator picture of Cara by herself.
- Today, Elon says “Cara and I are friends, but we’ve never been intimate. She would confirm this. Also, I wish to confirm again that Amber and I only started going out about a month after her divorce filing. I don’t think I was ever even in the vicinity of Amber during their marriage! Regarding this lawsuit, I would recommend that everyone involved bury the hatchet and move on. Life is too short for such extended negativity. Nobody is going to say, after it’s all over, that they wished the court battle had lasted longer!”
- This divorce/lawsuit has lasted longer than their marriage.
ONTD, do you have an ex who's still making millions and hasn't had any real negative career impact that won't move on?

The Gamechanger Films CEO reflects on the backlash she received in 2015 after arguing on-air with Matt Damon: "I spoke up and got summarily smacked back down." https://t.co/9kZWnYWRrN— The Hollywood Reporter (@THR) June 18, 2020
In a guest column for the Hollywood Reporter, producer Effie Brown opens up about the backlash she received after calling out Matt Damon for the lack of diversity on the HBO series, Project Greenlight.
“After I did Project Greenlight — and this is no secret — I suffered a huge backlash. I didn’t work for a while. People didn’t want to work with me because I spoke truth to power. People who speak up are usually marginalized and pushed back, called difficult, confrontational, you name it. I spoke up and got summarily smacked back down. I did not get embraced with open arms, nor did it work in my favor … at first.”
Brown also said that she only got paid to make the movie but not for her work on the series. She has not seen any residuals from the show. Brown feels that they used her for her experiences and treated her as if she was secondary.

Brown said that she’s grateful for where she is at today and is thankful again to her allies, Lee Daniels, and Black Twitter. Brown ends the pieces advising others in her position to hire, mentor, and promote underrepresented groups and invest in minority companies.

- Players can opt out (and to my knowledge still get paid). Of the famous players in the league Megan Rapinoe, Christen Press, and Tobin Heath have all pretty much been confirmed as a "no thanks, not showing up".

Rapper Future Offers Daughter's Mom Eliza Reign $1K a Month in Child Support — and She Rejects It https://t.co/VwINL4WwmQ— People (@people) June 17, 2020
He offered to pay her $1,000 a month in child support and cover their daughter's health insurance.
In exchange, Seraphin would have to agree to a gag order and stop discussing the case publicly.
Future does not know how much money he makes and will not hand over his financial information.
It has been difficult to determine a reasonable child support amount.
Future, based on Forbes' estimate, made $20 million last year.
Seraphin was entitled to $53,000 a month in child support.
Both Future and Seraphin are due back in court next month.
38-year-old Marques Houston is defending his engagement to his reportedly 19-year-old fiancé Miya.
March 2019, Marques announced he had proposed to Miya.
They allegedly first started dating in September 2018 but not many people knew her age.
Twitter started accusing Marques of knowing Miya before she was 18.
He is now responding to the allegations in a lengthy social media post.
"I met Miya in 2018 through a mutual friend. Never before then, did I even know she existed. [...] we all first met Miya at a Jehovah’s Witness convention. [...] Miya and I didn’t start dating until she was an adult. We fell in love and got engaged in March of 2019. [...] Most importantly we have Jehovahs blessing 😁 There is so much more to be concerned about in the world, than creating rumors about me. [...] Please people focus on staying safe through this pandemic."

To those who are #SpeakingOut today, we stand in solidarity with all of you. We cannot begin to fathom the suffering and mental anguish you have had to endure. Your bravery is inspiring and could help change the entire industry for the better ✊❤️— Wrestling Travel (@WrestlingTravel) June 18, 2020
TRIGGER WARNING: This post discusses sexual assault and may be potentially upsetting. Please look after yourselves (and know if you have been a victim it was not your fault, we believe you)!
The pro wrestling world was shaken up today with several women coming forward to share stories of being sexually assaulted by male wrestlers. Soon the hashtag #SpeakingOut was trending. It started in the UK when indie wrestler David Starr was accused of [trigger]rape and sexual assault. The woman provided screencaps that seem to prove many parts of her story. Soon many other women, some also wrestlers, began sharing their own stories which ranged from being sexually harassed to assaulted by male wrestlers.
OP NOTE: be careful if you go into the tag on twitter as there are some graphic pictures and tweets
There are so many tweets but so far it looks as if upwards of 10 wrestlers have had allegations towards them (including WWE talent, which apparently led to them having an "emergency meeting" today). Many of the names have multiple allegations against them. Some of the names include Jordan Devlin (WWE NXT UK), Will Ospreay (NJPW), Joe Coffey (WWE NXT UK), Ligero (WWE NXT UK), Joey Ryan (Impact), Mikey Whiplash, Marty Scurll (ROH), Bubblegum, Kid Fite and Alexander Dean.
Several other wrestlers have voiced support for the women coming forward and are demanding that the industry change. The hashtag also has inspired several other women to share their own experiences with sexual assault not related to the industry.
At the time of this post being submitted there have been no official statements from the WWE, NJPW, Impact, ROH or other professional wrestling organizations (this post will be updated if there are).
UPDATE: Alfred Konuwa who covers wrestling for Forbes said the WWE sent him a statement which said "We take any allegation of this nature very seriously and are looking into the matter." Though nothing has been found about a statement online.
A twitter account called Expose Wrestling was created to help keep track of the stories. So far stories have been shared of over 30 wrestlers (and now also includes female wrestlers). The stories now also include Jimmy Havock (AEW), Bea Priestley (Stardom) and Alberto Del Rio (WWE).

- Employees will be required to wear masks.
