Let me present to you: Some Swedish news from last year about a song released in 2014 where Jason Derulo and his crew collaborates with a woman and then skips the important part of credit that woman for her work
Swedish artist and songwriter Molly Sandén talks about the incident in a book from 2019 about women’s conditions in the music industry called Ni måste flytta på er (~You have to get out of the way) by Annah Björk. Molly first met Derulo when he walked into a studio where Molly recorded some songs. Derulo was impressed by her and told Sandén that they should write together sometime. The next time they meet is in the studio property The Jim Henson Company Lot in Hollywood with both their crews and some additional songwriters. This meeting results in the song Stupid Love (that also includes some vocals from Molly) and was released as the fifth single from Derulo’s album Tattoos (2013)

In 2019 Molly Sandén recived a prize from the copyright organisation ALIS for her "powerful and skilful actions in asserting her copyright rights in an industry where the power structures are difficult to stand up to"
